On this site and on the DDR X packaging, Dance Dance Revolution is spelled as 1 word, like "DanceDanceRevolution" Is it now officially 1 word instead of 3?

It wouldn't be the first time. There is "RockMan" in japan and "Mega Man" in america (note the spacing). I would think that
it's just the logo (if that's the problem) or you really are reading the label (which is plain text).
I know I critic spellings once in a while, but brands are an exception. If it's "DamceDancrRebo;utiom" (or the story of my username), then I'll react.

Honestly, I never would have noticed the name change if you hadn't pointed it out. I think that's beyond subtle.
I'm still going to call it Dance Dance Revolution, because that's what it is. Right?

You're here too!!!
Anyone can call Dance Dance revolution whatever they want. I don't think Konami filed a patent for the term DDR (correct me on this). Or they can call it as "the game who stole aspects of 'bust a move' and 'Pump it up'" (not my words).

On Bemani sites, I'll just abbreviate it to DDR.
If I'm explaining DDR to someone, I'll say it stands for "Dance Dance Revolution", not "DanceDanceRevolution".

Hasn't it been one word for like, all of the Japanese releases?

But that's not the way people would read it. Unless you knew you'd assume in English it'd be written with separations as 'Dance Dance Revolution'. In that same way 'Dancing Stage' has always be written said way till Hottest Party had it as 'DancingStage' which makes little sense in English.Post #10 · Posté à 2008-09-25 06:08:44am il y a 15.6 années

I prefer to write it as three separate words, because that's what they are: three separate words that make up the title.

I don't think they trademarked "DDR", per se. But some people here may know about the WWF lawsuit.Post #11 · Posté à 2008-09-25 08:46:28am il y a 15.6 années

How about "The miracle never happen" from the US version of Phoenix Wright: Justice For All? Way to spoil the sad moment of the bad ending with such terrible Engrish. I know that's not Konami but it's still funny to see such big companies making such simple mistakes. Post #13 · Posté à 2008-09-25 08:50:48pm il y a 15.6 années
