am-net.jp reports that the machine will be released on January 2009, costing 1,980,000 yen (approx. $18052 / £9677) for the entire machine. Upgrade kit price will come later during the week. For comparison, SuperNOVA costed 1,500,000 yen, X will therefore be costing 33% more than SuperNOVA. Thanks to ミーヤの屋根裏部屋 for the notice!

Any backgrounds you create contributing to the SuperNOVA and SuperNOVA2 simfiles will be greatly appreciated. Please check the current status before starting to make a background as one could have been made already. The backgrounds must be 640x480 in size, should resemble the banner of the song and finally, must be good looking.
