Anyway, arcade experiences, bunch of those!
1. Dying after passing first 9 footer, I think it was cos I did era (nostalmix) and then TSUGARU straight after, passed with a B I think on EuroMIX2... almost threw up.
2. Dying after passing first 10 footer, MAX 300, with a B.
3. Getting shoelaces caught in the panels, they keep undoing themselves while playing.
4. Falling off the 2P pad while trying doubles once.
5. Picking BEGINNER difficulty by mistake, thanks SuperNOVA.

Me it's 1.00 $ for 3 songs, SN2. I feel lucky.
I hate you! D&B Times Square has that stupid points thing. 5.8 points / 3 songs, 5.2 points if you're a "gold" member. I don't know how much that equates to in real money.Post #26 · Posted at 2008-07-22 09:44:29am 15.7 years ago

Tripping on Trip Machine.
Crashing an Extreme machine when there was around 3 other people ready to play, all around 7-11 years old. (I didn't mean to)
Passing MAXX UNLIMITED for the 1st & right now only time. I've not even passed Max 300 yet, & I've been sick close on LOM.

Same here, I picked beginner mode on SuperNOVA2 by accident. Oh, and accidentally setting the SuperNOVA2 machine on single mode instead of versus mode on multiple occasions.5. Picking BEGINNER difficulty by mistake, thanks SuperNOVA.

What, why haven't you passed Max 300 yet? Unlimited's jumps are way harder o_0Back in my college town, the Extreme was $0.50 for 3 songs. Also before the laser tag place closed down, the 5th mix was also that. ('Course, neither place got much business which is why they had to charge so little). I don't like having to pay $0.75 at my current loc, lol; at least it's joint premium.
Yeah, the last time I ever accidentally picked Basic was on 5th mix. I ended up almost AAA'ing My Summer Love on modless.

Heh, you guys with the high prices should do the math, and figure out how long you'd have to live without arcade DDR to get a nice metal pad. Shouldn't be more than 300 rounds for those who have to pay $1.50.
Arcade I go to is nice, has ITG2 R21, not too many people when I go there, $0.50 for 3 songs. So I don't have any interesting stories.

I just saw this thread..or im just blind LOL
Experiences..
1. First time to dance on the dancepad...I destroyed the upper arrow with a big/heavy stomp..embarassing
2 I threw my black leather shoe accidentally while doing MAX 300...and not just dat..it hit the manager of the arcade right in the face
3. I have to act like a dance instructor and teacher to grade schoolers who asked me to teach them how to play DDR on the spot
4, I have to argue with the manager because of double credits needed to play DDR..and luckily they considered my approach..now its 1 credit for 5 songs weh!
5. I got a large laceration in the leg in a tournament once that it caused me not to play DDR for 3 months straight...And my mom was very angry at me after the accident
6. Something to be proud of..but not to boast for..i won champion in 3 different tournaments here in our place..one for combo attack and two for freestyle
7. It is where DDR i found my first girlfriend..now she's my ex

yay I have alot of stories.
1. A guy very mad at me by standing next to the machine. The arcade owner did not give a shit so i kept standing there, and the guy still works at our local mall, and my friend makes fun of him alot for being... well, himself.
2. I went to play ITG2 at Six Flags, and the machine was priced at $1, not unusual. I play and realize you get 2 songs, and the meter is on Justice, so once it goes down, it aint going up.
3. I have fans at BZN (sort of). I always get "wait, your that kid from last week! I love watching you play", and often when there are parties, kids will just crowd around and watch. I often get alot of question afterwards from the parents, and silly questions from the kids. Also the girls from Friday want to see me every week to watch me play.
4. When i played Friday these two girls literally attacked me. They kept jumping on me, and asking me questions, and one of them like would not let go of me so I had to stop playing lol. That has never happened to me before.
5. I was at six flags and these kids finished their round. It was my turn to play. I AA'd Max 300, and the kids got down on their knees and worshiping me... literally. After that they left. It was pretty funny.
6. BZN has a machine with hacked songs on it. One song is Botan ana, and I hate the song. These kids were playing it, so i walked over and said "dont ever play that shit again while I am here, or I am going to hack that song off the machine.
7. Me and some other dude (I think his name is Jeff) started jumping on the ITG2 machine at BZN while we were testing IIDX GOLD. We got yelled at and were warned not to do it again.
8. the ITG2 machine at BZN was not reading me memory stick. Unfortunately there is problems with the monitor that i did not know existed, so i turned on and off the machine, then turned it back on. The screen has an error on it and I said "oh shit', and went to play DDR. Some other dudes were complaining, but there were no techs on duty to fix the problem.
9. on a DDR machine there was a box of music samplers for DDR. It said "Please take one". I took the entire box.
10. On Friday one of the girls I told you about spilled water on the dance pad. I realized it when I was playing, and I tried to keep playing anyways. I slipped and fell (I grabbed myself on the bar, so It was just a bad slip, and not crashing to the ground). No one was nearby so no embarrassment... lol

Lol @ number 9. You should ask those girls if they give good massages
Oh that reminds me, this time I was watching someone play on r23, and he picked the song "Gay Bar". It was rated like 13, but ended up being a 9 or 10. I just stood back chatting with someone else, "why is this a 13?"

I'll list some experiences I can remember off the top of my head.
"Iiiiiiin one!": First time I remember seeing a Dancing Stage machine was when I was about 11 or 12 and it was at Blackpool. There was this girl on it playing Last Thing On My Mind and I believe it caught my attention because I recognised the song. I know now that she was doing the part at the instrumental because she was pushing the same arrow constantly before switching to the next one. I had never seen an arcade machine like Dancing Stage before and I wouldn't have realised till later that it was love at first sight, though the machine not the girl.
"Iiiiiin two!": When I first played one I did It's Like That and it must have been a 1 footer on the original Dancing Stage because it was very boring and easy. Then I did Butterfly and lost.
"Iiiiiin Three" (OK I'll stop that now): The time that I actually 'got' how to play was when I played Boom Boom Dollar twice, the first time the stream arrows scared me and I didn't understand how to do it. It was only after watching some girls play I understood that I had to use both feet and follow the rhythm. Lets say things got better from there.
OK some more recent experiences.
At the Trocadero in London only a few weeks ago I played the SuperNOVA on the highest level with my current love interest and forgot that I should have really catered for him because I played my usual on Difficult while he struggled on Beginner. Regardless he said he enjoyed it because I did. So... yeah.
Anyway I can't say about the 1 player pad, but I took the player 2 pad and it felt really broken and didn't seem to pick up my steps very well. I seemed to play much worse than usual and I'm not just making excuses.
My and my mum went back there the following week on an overnight theatre trip. Suffice to say I felt tired and crappy the first day because I hadn't slept well though the second I felt much better and we got some time in London to do what we wanted. We headed over to the Troc again and I played on the other SuperNOVA downstairs and had a lot more fun. The pad seemed in good order and it was £1 (~$2) for 4 stages which was an unusual surprise. I keep forgetting what a nice songlist SuperNOVA has and I had a fun time playing a few songs on Expert like Cutie Chaser (Morning Mix) one of my faves which I've never attempted on before. I need to learn those turns. I also attempted What A Wonderful World (another fave) on for the first time at an arcade and really enjoyed it. I love how Stepmania's assist tick really helps in learning rhythms.
I've also had some not so nice experiences, usually involving girls. One in Skegness decided to be very annoying and lept in front of me during a game which I had to push off. One at my local decided to act a prat and then played the defensive saying she was 'always bullied'. Like, no wonder if you get on peoples tits like that girl!
One funny experience had a younger girl supposedly saying that she thought I was 'sexy' (according to my uncle at least because I couldn't hear her). Why couldn't more guys say stuff like that, or better, ask me out?

I still have half the samplers that were int hat box too. I through them at random kids in the hallway at my school, because they work just like ninja stars. lol.
I also took a box of keychains (again, I still have half the box) from the chicago auto show and through them at kids too. I through many things at the underclassmen. lol
You never offer something free to me. Like this one time at halloween, This person left their cooler out and iside was candy and a note "please take one" I took the cooler. After walking to the next house I put all the candy in my bag and through the cooler onto the golf course behind their house. This was a while ago, so never offer anything free to me.
Oh did I also mention the Scion CD's, I throw those at people too, and thats not a bad CD either.

Sorry Omega but you sound like a huge faggot and I'm pretty sure I would do unpleasant things to your belongings. Then again, you wouldn't expect that it was me since I probably don't look how you would expect the usual poster on a Bemani forum to look.

hey buddy leave omega alone, he's a cool guy, and he's a better ddr player then I bet, and he uploads awesome videos on youtube, alright.
Besides, nobody is perfect in the world alright. I'm probably the worst person on the site
