Anyway, I've heard V many times, but I didn't think too much of it since I knew it wasn't the IIDX song.

Just so you know what song remixes what classical piece:
V - Four Seasons Winter Allegro, Vivaldi
KAKUMEI - Revolutionary Etude, Chopin
No.13 - Two Part Invention in A minor (No. 13), Bach

For you Universe 2 players, I don't know who Tipsy is, but Hey! must be a famous song. I heard it in a "we'll be right back" bumper on Nickelodeon.

Dance Dance Revolution is being discussed tonight on "I Love the New Millennium". However, it's being discussed...on the 2004 edition?

Yeah, I really don't know why they did that. They didn't really give an explanation of why either...
It was a pretty boring segment, to be honest. The one thing that made me laugh is the person who said the game was for pudgy white kids who don't know they're gay yet.

Uh, let's see....
A while ago, Stephen Colbert did a "dance off" with Rain (the KPOP singer) on the Colbert Report.
http://www.comedycentral.com/colbertreport/videos.jhtml?videoId=156555
They did the "dance off" SUPPOSEDLY on a DDR 5th Mix machine, but if you pause it at the right time, hear the disc scratch sound after Colbert puts the credit it, and look at the screen, it's obviously Hottest Party, not 5th MIX, (but later on, it isn't HP for some reason). And it isn't a song from DDR, it's just...a Rain song (I think.) dubbed over.
When Rain starts to overload the machine, you can see that it isn't HP anymore for some reason, it is on Light, and that both players are intentionally missing all the steps, hence the DANGER! (can't tell the song though.)

The world would implode.
I know one Saturday morning style show over here in the UK once featured the Cheeky Girls 'competing' to Wannabe from Dancing Stage Fever... on Beginner. They were so bad at it even on such a low level that it was the DDR equivalent of watching paint dry.
The music video for the Vengaboys song Kiss (When The Sun Don't Shine) features a DDR machine or two at one point. The group actually dance on it and do moves which could come close to authentic and actually decent.
And yes Madonna's Hung Up video features a Dancing Stage Fusion machine towards the end with her and backing dancers dancing on it while it appears to be in attract mode for a majority of the time. Madonna's moves actually appear like what I suspect you'd look like if you played doubles facing away from the machine and actually looked good doing it.

I think it was 2004 that DDR was look at as a way to lose some pounds. At less that's my Theory.

Oh yes, Gamezville. Was a complete pile of crap, yet strangely watchable for some reason. And all three songs were Come On Eileen, IIRC.

That song's from 1975. It gets a resounding 'meh' from the judges.
