I was thinking, since today is Earth Day, why don't we start a thread talking about it?

Looks like I don't know how to live green.

-I leave the computer on 24/7 because I'm too lazy to want to turn it on and it be all slow and stuff, you know?
-I leave the Wii on 24/7 because I'm too lazy to want to turn it on and load up Brawl and waste 3 minutes, you know?
-I take 45-minute showers because it's warm, comfortable, and cleansing.
-If I have a meal, I don't eat what I don't like. I mean, it's not like I HAVE to. I throw it away.
-I don't recycle, who recycles in Georgia? srsly
-We're cutting down a bunch of trees in a natural area near the pool because of all the crap they drop into the pool in autumn. I can hear the chainsaws as I'm typing this. (lolololol cutting trees on Earth Day)
-It wouldn't make a huge difference if I lived green.
-What is there to celebrate on Earth Day, anyway?

I try to do my best to save energy and things, but mostly because I want the bills to be low. I know that I certainly don't use cars as much as I used to...(Hello $4 gas in July >_>).

But hey, I'm all for being green. I really hate smog and stuff like that, which is why I never go to LA if I don't have to.

-I'd turn it off, but all the other computers in the house rely on mine being on for internet connection.
-I more or less leave everything set up and just unplug it.
-I've actually gotten quicker. I can take one in under 10 minutes.
-I don't remember the last time I had to worry about that.
-I recycle all of my boxes such that they don't have scraps of food stuck on there.
-There are a lot of trees here. I imagine some will be cut down in the distant future for development.
-Me neither, not that I would really notice a change.

- I take 25-30 minute showers

- I eat as much as I can and give it to my dad.

- I am part of this "Green Team" thing in my school where we do all the recycling everyone else doesn't do

- Trees? In New York? Hah!

- I don't want kids, but I live as green as I can. I actually worry about buying a PS3 because of all the anti-green energy it wastes (and how much money my family would've thrown away just to keep it up instead of paying for something better). But my impact isn't that great, so I dunno why I keep worrying.

- Earth Day exists for those who are real assholes about the whole Global Warming thing I guess.

-I use a laptop, and always turn it off at the plug when it's off.
-My Wii's in the same boat there.
-I can do what I need in 5 mins. But sometimes I have a nice, long bath...
-Yep, no need to eat what you don't want to.
-I have to recycle. But that's the law over here...
-Ain't seen trees cut down in a long time.
-For me, it wouldn't really matter. I'm doing what I can already.
-Nothing to celebrate, per se. Instead, it's a day where everyone tries to prolong the inevitable, then 364 days of exactly what it was like before.

Well, most of the trees are gone from the little natural area now, they'll finish the job tomorrow.

Seems like our family celebrated Earth Day by raising CO₂ emissions.
