AFAIK BEMANI Master is just a title awarded to the player who is very skilled at every single BEMANI game. Last year, it was DOLCE who had that title, I think.
Also, it seems that ミライダガッキ will be in KAC for exhibition only and not for competitive play. I guess it makes sense since it is a brand new game.
KAC site for the rest of Asia and list of games is here: http://www.konami-asia.com/am/game/kac/2013/index.php?lang=en

The three things at the bottom are exhibition only (FTT and BEMANI Master and something else I forgot)

Just curious to see what other opinions about this are...
So pretty much IIDX Tricoro was announced to be part of KAC 2013. With them upgrading to Spada recently, they just conveniently changed the listing of tricoro to Spada.
To be honest, I don't think in thus particular case it makes a huge difference, but in general doesn't that not seem fair or at the very least poor arrangement? I'm trying to come up with good examples off the top of my head now and all I can think about would be people joining a competition for say call of duty black ops 2 and then the game being changed to Ghosts midway through qualifying round, just doesn't make sense or fair.
Like I said, in most music games it shouldn't make too big of a difference since the songs are the same on both mixes along with most options. I still feel like interfaces and small details could effect a player's performance and mindset.
So am I just over thinking this too much or do I have some point? Like I already said it's not too big of a deal overall, just think they should at the very least do ones of the following. 1. say before about the change midway through. 2. Let scores on either mix count to ranking. 3. Keep tricoro only since it's what was announced in the first place. 4. Push out the new game before the tournament so its all played on the same game or just release the game after the tournament.
As most know, I don't play nor follow too much about IIDX and for all i know one of my suggestions was already addressed by konami. Anyways, what are your thoughts?

This reminded me of that part from The Wizard where they have the Mario 3 reveal, wish I could find the clip on YT but oh well. So pretty much IIDX Tricoro was announced to be part of KAC 2013. With them upgrading to Spada recently, they just conveniently changed the listing of tricoro to Spada.

Yeah I honestly would be kind of pissed off as well, training months and months only for Konami to throw a curve ball half way in. It shakes things up I'll give it that but now it becomes who's better on adapting to new songs then who's the best overall player.

I would agree with that if it weren't for the fact that the preliminary songs haven't changed one bit. I'm not playing IIDX to compete in KAC, but to me, it seems that the new songs are more of a distraction rather than a "curve ball," assuming I wanted to play the qualifying songs more to try to move up in the ranks.
Besides that, it would be unfair if scores from tricoro somehow don't count towards the leaderboard anymore, but I don't see that happening. While changing mixes in the middle of the tournament does sound weird, overall, the interface and gameplay is still very much the same except with a different theme. [Although, I wonder what would happen if DDR 2013 were to change its theme and/or interface sometime soon.]

In speaking of DDR 2013, doesn't anyone feel disappointed that the charts is what the game is getting for KAC. I don't know if it might be too early if we'll get anything else, but a nice song or two like given for jubeat Saucer and REFLECBEAT Colette would be nice.

Oh, and let me throw one more angle at this.
This relates more to the asia areas like Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, etc. Unlike Japan, there aren't an abundant amount of machines here like DDR, IIDX, and a few others so in general players here crowd 1 machine and get less available play time compared to their Japanese counterparts.
If you suddenly upgrade a mix to the newest most current one, all casual players come out of the woodwork to play again and create ridiculous lines to go up and pay for 1 credit, not to mention a new mix is almost certainly more expensive per credit to play. This creates a bad atmosphere for a player to grind and get the scores they need especially with the added pressure of only the top ranked player able to move on. You could say in this case all players are equally at a disadvantage because of the above mention but thats no excuse not to mention with less practice play time to prepare for their finals in japan, they will be at a heavy disadvantage. I know I would be pretty pissed if they did the same to DDR in this time.

Game center being crowded with non-ranker is the same in Japan I would say.
The main problem with changing versions in the middle of KAC for me is
1. You will need some credits to re-buy your customize items. Okay, rankers may not care, but I do find the default note skin to be harder timing-wise because of its size. All those little changes can be pretty disturbing and you won't be in top condition.
2. I don't know what mode rankers play, but now unless you play in Pemium Free or use a Gold Pass Paseli, you won't be able to play level 11 songs, which in KAC case can be quite problematic

Didn't something similar happen in last year's jubeat event when they switched from copious to saucer?

Details for the final event have been announced.
http://www.konami-asia.com/am/game/kac/2013/finals/?lang=en
Also, the Asia side of this tournament has been doing a side competition for the funniest Bemani video. I just completed my submission and don't know where to post it so I'll just post it here.
If you like that, please like the video or better yet go to the konami facebook page and like it.
