wow. That's a very large scaling method.
In other words, if I said HARD= 17, and he said HARD = 176-180, it will be a hard 18 (so I need to re-rate it). If he said HARD = 170-175, it will be an easy 18. Am I correct?

No, NXC. that's just him rating on the MGD scale. In other words:
Basic: really low 10 (???)
Difficult: easy 13
Expert: easy 18
