I was just wondering is there a possibility of us being allowed to submit two files again eventually?
We're about half way into the contest and as usual less people start to participate so the problem of having way too many files wont be as prevalent as last year especially considering not every participant submits two files.

I mean I'm pretty sure the decline in submissions for [Duet] simply had to do with the fact that many step artists in the contest prefer stepping songs without vocals (from what I've noticed), and even people who step songs with vocals had a hard time finding a song with exactly 2 singers. In fact, the number of submissions has been consistently in the 20s before [Duet], which is a good amount of files to judge, especially because it gives people with busy schedules and such less to worry about when it's time to vote. As much as I would like submitting two files a week, I don't think it's necessary.

What about for collab week? If X users are allowed to submit one file per week, there would only be half the number of files that week, possibly hovering around 11 or 12. I'm thinking it'd be realistic to allow two files for that week only. That way, it'd probably have around the same number of files as most weeks.

Well who's to say that there will be a collab week? Some people talked about the possibility of one this year in the beginning of the thread but a lot of people iirc said it would be too complicated. I mean really it's the hosts' decision, so unless you're either GariK+ or Telperion, it's not really your place to make rules for themes that may not even happen. (Sorry if any of this sounds too harsh or whatever I'm just saying bc you're kinda just assuming that the hosts are gonna have certain themes.)

Regardless, it's just my mentality.

I think we had a slow week because [Duet] might have been a hard week to pull off for some. If the trend keeps up I might think about upping the total number of simfiles people can enter. Then again that's mostly up to GariK+ and Tel. It should be much better with a theme like [Other Music Games].

1. I Thought I Lost You (+5) - Definite number one for me. Fun rhythms that were stepped well. Found some spots were a tap following a jump was a bit awkward to hit, but they weren't too bad. Also, dunno if it's just me, but the music quality seemed a bit lacking. Still, very enjoyable to play, I like it a lot.
2. Little Little Princess (+4) - Crossoverscrossoverscrossovers. Seriously though, they were mostly done done pretty well and the patterning in general was a lot of fun. Maybe just a few too many crossovers haha.
3. No Sleep (+3) - Patterns were great most of the time and I liked the use of footswitches, although it took me a while to realize that they actually were footswitches. The second half of the rolls near the end felt a bit awkward to hit. Also, the hands didn't fit at all, might just be me though.
4. Naisho no Hanashi (+2) - I feel like you could have used more holds to better accent the guitar sounds (especially in the first part of the song). Also heard several drum parts that weren't stepped. Pretty fun file and solid overall, but has more potential.
5. How to Get a Number One Song (+1) - Not much to complain about, but chart had more potential, could have been more fun with bpm gimmicks and different patterns during the metal part. Still, the patterns weren't boring and it was pretty fun to play.

Honorable mention I guess
Death Should Not Have Taken Thee! needs a harder difficulty so bad haha

I guess I am doing something boss-song -esque from Taiko this time around. Has been ages since I did a non-bemani song that wasn't a random tune that I liked more than average xD

I was considering stepping a file, but I thought I had pretty much exhausted all the challenging rhythms and patterns that fit well in with the exception of a few 16ths here and there.
