If the location test passes (and I hope it does), how would Konami deal with events? Would we get the same events or would we get alternatives due to no other US bemani rhythm games?

I imagine it might work the same as SN2/X/X2 with unlock codes when all else fails.

This is a good question seeing how event and newer content is added online. The game will likely have to have an online connection in order to get newer content. However, I think it will just use eAmuse for this. It would make having an international version of the eAmuse site make much more sense.

unlock codes work with the older versions because all their data is already in the HDD. it won't work with DDR2014 with it having regular updates that add songs. you can also see this in DDR X2, where US cabs have no access to deltaMAX Challenge nor I'm so Happy/Theory of Eternity.

I'm sort of picturing that Konami may update their games on a bi-yearly/yearly basis at the bare minimum outside of the Asian region. Wouldn't be surprised if it boiled down to arcades getting "Expansion Packs" on hard drives or such.

on the other hand, konami just put on the first 15 seconds of over the period as well as its jacket

Update for July 2nd.
- Medal for summon Boss songs of BoP will be decreased.
- Any difficulty can be used to get orbs of RDi(of course, you have to get AA rank).

Well then, this isn't exactly what I meant when I said I wanted the requirements to be lowered again, but I guess we'll see by tomorrow if anything has changed to OTP now that we can play MAX.(period) on (and ?) now.

So if I'm reading the flyer right, the requirement to access each BOSS ON PARADE song has dropped from 9 medals to 7 medals? What does this do to the number of plays required to access the songs? (I can do math but I don't have the formula on medal acquisition...)

It dropped from 10 medals to 8. Before, you had to earn 10+8+6+4+2=30 medals for each boss song and play each boss song 5 times before unlocking all of them. Now, you only need 8+6+4+2=20 medals per boss song and play each boss song 4 times. Completing BOSS ON PARADE would still require a lot of grinding, but at least the amount of work required is reduced by about one-third.

Out of curiosity, where did the clean audio of Egoism 440 from before come from? I thought that complete audio of DDR-exclusive songs was only released in the full soundtrack of the game.

If the poster means what I think it means, then the drop from " or higher" down to "any difficulty" should mean that the difficulty of the Max.(period) Extra Stage that must be AA'd to reach OT"P" also drops from down to , rather than to .
Either way, unless the passing conditions of OT"P" change, this won't affect much. Except for Doubles, as it makes reaching OT"P" D- easier and maybe someone will get past the stop there sooner.
