This might be a really stupid question...

When you say "other music game", is that limited to Bemani games only? Also, if a song was previously in DDR but was in other music games (e.g. Pop'n, BM, etc), can you use it for that category?

Bemani Crossover is from other Bemani games. (pop'n, IIDX, jubeat etc). "Other music game" is music from stuff like (Pump it up, In The Groove, Parappa the Rapper, DJ Hero, DJMAX, etc)

What does "Licensed Music" mean? It can't mean music that's actually licensed in the sense that Konami licenses music, because none of use have the resources for that. I'm just going to treat it the same as "Anything".

Does it matter if a song has lots of profanity in it? I'm asking because some places don't allow profanity in their simfile contests.

If you don't fill up the 32 spots, you can always hold a traditional voting round for the first week, and then put the posters with the top 16 votes through to round 2, where the knockout tournament can start proper?

You can also have the first round entries put into "groups" of 3 or more, have people vote for the best songs in each "group", and put the top 2/3/4 from each group through to the knockout round.

I wouldn't worry about not getting exactly 32 entries. There are lots of interesting ways you can whittle the entrants down to 16, and then have 4 knockout rounds.

I like the idea of 3 way matches. keeps thing from getting complex. Also I wanted to avoid people getting byes.
