I'll just put everything I know here:
First you get the battle cards. All the games have 3 cards (+1 you get by battling). The order you obtain a card pertaining to a game is at random, and you get them at 1st credit, 2nd credit after that and 3rd credit after that so you need 6 credits to get all the cards you can get by playing. (e.g. I might get L.E.D. card on 1st credit on SPADA but you might get it on the 6th credit)
Then you build your team > http://p.eagate.573.jp/game/bemani/playball/p/order/index.html
Picking おすすめオーダー will give you the team with the highest possible stat total among all the cards that you have. It's easier to use that (unless you want to utilize hidden bonuses, though it's kinda hard to do).

You can train your cards here. If you doesn't set anything here, the experience you get from each play is distributed equally to every card you have. You might want to focus the exp gain to a particular card to level it up faster.
After all is done, go here > http://p.eagate.573.jp/game/bemani/playball/p/game/index.html
Now you unlock songs by battling other teams there. You get ticket to do a battle for each credit you play on any of the 9 games. The Rabeat icon will tell you whether you will win or lose or if it's not guaranteed you'll win or lose.
Tips: DanceEvolution and ミライダガッキ gives an experience boost for the next game, but it won't work if you play the same machine consecutively. So the most optimal way to grind for experience is to play these two games alternately.
Refer to the following > http://www.bemaniwiki.com/index.php?%CF%A2%C6%B0%B4%EB%B2%E8%2F%C7%AE%C6%AE%A1%AABEMANI%A5%B9%A5%BF%A5%B8%A5%A2%A5%E0#p76c5f84
Each card is in a certain category, with total stat in descending order: A, B, C, D. So it is highly recommended to get the A and B category card for the highest stat possible.
That page also lists hidden character combos that give stats bonuses.

Yeah, おすすめオーダー doesn't necessarily give you the highest possible stats, since it doesn't take into acount the skill bonuses that each card has. This is a strategy I use to maximize my stats:
http://p.eagate.573.jp/game/bemani/playball/p/order/attack.html
This is where you set the batting order for all the cards in your team. Normally, having a certain card in a certain batting order raises or lowers the attack stat of that card accordingly as shown in the webpage. But if you have a card with an attack skill that reads "打順が1番のとき、攻撃+10%," for example, then placing that card first in the batting order will raise its attack stat by 10 percent (in addition to the 10 percent that the card first to bat normally gets), which may or may not happen by clicking おすすめオーダー. Then sort your remaining cards accordingly by taking each attack stat, attack skill bonus, and batting order bonus/reduction into account.
http://p.eagate.573.jp/game/bemani/playball/p/order/defense.html
Similar case for setting batting order, except now you have to place your cards on the baseball field defending against the other team. Even if you can't read katakana, you can probably guess that the positions represent various roles on the field (from left-to-right, then top-down: left, center, right, short, second, third, pitcher, first, catcher). So if you have a card with a defense skill that reads "守備位置がピッチャーのとき、守備+10%," for example, then placing that card as the role of the pitcher will raise its defense stat by 10 percent (in addition to the 50 percent boost that pitchers normally get).
BemaniWiki also lists additional bonuses if a combination of two certain cards both utilize their skill bonuses.
Recently, 2 S rank cards have also been released with entirely different unlock conditions (one from simply linking a KONAMI ID to the webpage, and one from a code you get by buying the BEMANI Stadium soundtrack).

Thank you! I appreciate the help, because I definitely didn't realize it was that nuanced. I'll take a closer look into it later. Thank goodness for bemaniwiki and google translate
