According to my trusted sources at Bemani Wiki, the next installment in the series is simply called GITADORA. Known songs are: SPACE DRIVE, 愛と勇気の三度笠ポン太, DRAGON KILLER, Quilt, & GIGA BREAK.

Yes, that one.
I love how Konami replaced the mascots with cute little teddy bear/speaker thingamajiggers. On the other hand, B-BONE, T-BONE, & Q-BONE were awesome-looking. I also love the new interface!

Looks like GF/DM XG ... lite?
Something seems suspicious; could they be trying GF/DM in the US again with this? These look like they might be cheaper to make...

Are they simplifying the brand? No more really long names, XG, and all that jazz. Hey the guitar machine lost one whole guitar.

I love the name change. The old ones were getting a little long and silly.

I think it might be a Mini Game game compilation with a link to GF&DM

On the topic of this game having the chance of being brought over to the US...
That's plausible, the cabinet looks small, looks cheap, but keep in mind the song list...as well as the name :/
Actually, what am I saying? The drum one might bring in revenue, the guitar one however, unless it has a good solid track list + it doesn't cost you $1 for 1 song, then it might actually work.
But that's only a BEMANI-fan dream, and this is America. One of the two doesn't belong.

same thing with pop' n music Sunny Park...no number 21or it could be a version like how "HELLO! POP'N MUSIC" was...

No, it has been confirmed by now that GITADORA is not a spin-off, like HELLO POP'N MUSIC was for the pop'n music series.

Those cabinets are basically:
- Drum: lost the raised stage
- Guitar: lost a whole guitar
Otherwise they're the same shape as XG2/3 cabinets. In fact, one of the two location tests was installed in an existing pair of XG2/3 cabinets. BemaniWiki assumes that will be possible in the final release.
They got rid of the 3D dorks in the background in favor of returning to the classic lanes + full video display. I know the Japanese fans care way too much about that. But then again, it was the American fans who asked for the selectable dancers in DDR to return. I like the return of ee'mall on the cell phone site. Now that it can be done anywhere and without a dedicated machine it's going to work this time. (They're not calling it ee'mall, but it totally is.)
If it weren't for the missing guitar then this would be a normal software upgrade. I can't imagine they did that to save money, because shit is still expensive. (There are no cost saving measures you can take on a million-Yen machine that make it worth it by the cost saving measures alone.) I bet both guitars were rarely used simultaneously, center play is more comfortable, and center play lets them slim the cabinet down.
EDIT: actually, that's a major change for GuitarFreaks. GF XG cabinets look like EZ2DJ cabinets, which look like IIDX cabinets. These new cabinets are a new design. On the official website they show XG1 cabinets upgraded to XG3, so ignore the side speakers on GF and the "roof" on DM.

Maybe they are done with GF and DM being 2 different games with the same song list and just decided to make it one game. If that's the case then I can understand it.

The Guitar machine now SOLO only.
Not for 2 players again.
The design for both machines looks cheap but still looks like the XG series.
Just wonder about songlist, Music selection interface (Using CD album or not) and gameplay interface.

I was thinking, that might be just a 1 player version just for the location test. Also I think all the Bemani games might use CD albums. This was if there's a crossover song, they can just crossover the CD art as well.
