To be honest, positive feedback about the current style will most likely remind me what aspects of v5.2 that shouldn't be lost during the transition, so it's no problem being in the same thread.

That's maybe weird, in my opinion. For me, i don't care of the grade. My score (%) i get on the song is more important.
For exemple, AAA on SN2 with greats is sdg/AA for me.
For exemple, AAA on SN2 with greats is sdg/AA for me.
As a "not good enough to AAA anything not on standard," I care more about the grade than the score unless I am trying to AA or AAA something. I realise I'm rather in the minority, though

But on the other hand, if someone only play SN2 (for exemple) got a B (88%) on Heavy enter the score here and saw "A". Maybe he won't understand. So it's maybe a good idea.
Yeah, kinda - I pretty much exclusively play older mixes (mostly Max 2 and EXTREME), so SuperNOVA scoring is often out (and usually to my advantage, giving me As when they should be Bs or Cs, but sometimes giving me As when they should be AAs). Anyway, it's not essential, just an idea All it is is a simple mapping of data through mostly trivial algorithms, anyway.

Noted. Though with the formulas, how will DDR signatures work if there's no uniform scoring system?
Just keep the regular formula with SN grades. And please don't change the old sig ^^'
(i like both old and new btw)
Wot he said. I don't care about the sigs personally, but they should be kept standard. It's also good that the default is the most recent algorithm (or SN if people really care about distinguishing AAA from AAA PFC, frankly I'd say be controversial and adopt SN2/X grading )

Simple mapping? More like, database, coding and uniform algorithm parsing stuff I need to do in the back that will be a pain in the neck. It's on my low-priority list.

The ability to edit picture/simfile comments would be a dandy feature.

THIS......and to preview a song for a simfile on the page for it instead of having to click "Music" to have to be directed to another page where you can listen to it...kind of like a "Preview Now" section of the simfile where you can listen to about 10 to 15 seconds of it, or hell, why not the whole song?

Why not make song previews the songwheel sample instead of the whole song? that would be easier than listening through the whole song to check it's worth playing

A minority which I'm in. Welcome to the club. Anyway, maybe a section for other types of simfiles, like BMS?Post #49 · Posted at 2009-10-03 12:12:51am 14.6 years ago

We already have a section for user-created simfiles if that's what you're referring to.

How about a search for the Picture Gallery? I tried to see my MAX 300 pictures and trying to find ONE picture in a 6000+ folder is kind of a pain.

I reckon tagging could be an idea too.
As in, Facebook-style tagging of people's usernames, and in the case of DDR scores, tagging the song that is displayed the picture and linking it to the scoretracker.

An option for custom themes/headers would be rather cool. Or just user-generated ones.

An option to (re)name our simfile category would be nice.

Just throwing it out there, only because I probably missed it being posted, or someone posted it, and i didnt know what they meant, so bear with me...
But what about a Video Download?
Like...If we have the songs, and the SM charts, there is a seperate Tab area for Just Videos so we can hunt for the videos we want, and DL them without the Extra SM folder?
again. Just a thought

There's no point, considering the video takes up the majority of the filesize anyway you might as well download the entire thing and extract the videos you want.

I just want to put emphasis on these suggestions:
Why not just list the games you own under the "About Me" section of the User Information. It'll save the hassle of having to do a database of all rhythm games out there and you would only have to type the ones you have.
Quote: Daiz
Also, being able to choose what songs get put into a sim pack when you create one (example: I'd like pack for my originals and a pack for my edits).
Quote: Daiz
Some sort of user search would be really nice. Examples of searches would be by location, by arcade attenders, etc. I've always wondered if there was another Tennessee user around, but there's no way to search.

Here's an idea i "took" from BMS:
Have a Game database where you can select which games you own (US, EU, and JP versions) which also includes their respected platforms too (PS2, PS3, 360, Wii, Gamecube, Xbox, PSX, etc.). These will appear on your Profile or on your avatar side (it might have something like "Games Owned" on it as a link to the page)
...but it will be BIG if you include every single music rhythm game that's out there
