Showplace Entertainment Center

Information

Bowling center located just off the West Shore Expressway in Staten Island. Supposedly has a small arcade on site, but upon visiting them after dark in November 2023, all the lights were off and marquees were missing. Phone calls after the fact verified that they are in fact still open but just "don't advertise". Check it at your own risk as it's kind of sketchy.

Update as of February 25th, 2024; visited again as we were in the area, still very sketchy vibes, but building was actually open for bowling mid-day. However, the arcade room was closed, lights were off, and doors were locked. Upon asking someone at the counter, they said it was closed because of a bowling tournament (???) and it might be open tomorrow (???). Visually verified that the DDR Supernova cab is in fact still there. Another room elsewhere in the building houses the remnants of a now-defunct Wendy's and also appears to have House of the Dead III, Time Crisis 3, and an unidentified Initial D cab just rotting away and collecting dust.
