Without looking, I think it's going to be a Lua setting. Look at the files in the Scripts folder.

i looked all over and even searched for "combo" and i didn't find anything obvious unless it's named something that i couldn't understand

Lemme install it real quick and look around...
alpha 0.32, nothing changes for me on any noteskin when I pass 100 combos. All I see is the little *bwoosh* that flourishes hitting 100. Is that what you're referring to?

So can jackets only be used with these new SSC files?
As nice as this theme is I think I might stick with 3.9 for a bit longer until things become a bit more standardised. Once it's possible to have a proper cover-flow-esque theme in 5 like DDRX2 AC, I'm there.

SSC files are not necessary to have jacket files work; the jacket files will work as long as they are named properly (as stated by AeronPeryton at the beginning of the second page).As nice as this theme is I think I might stick with 3.9 for a bit longer until things become a bit more standardised. as long as the jacket files are there at all they work. i named them anything i wanted to and it worked

no. the reason why i want to figure this out is because i have the DDR noteskin, and once you hit an arrow it glows for a short time (green for great, yellow for perfect, etc.) but it stops and just disappears after 100 combo and i think it's related to the flash.

The version I downloaded had the judge-specific flash on constantly, regardless of combo. And I'm using a custom noteskin. The noteskin you're using could be breaking something because of the way it's built, or you might want to redownload the theme.

look for [Player] group in metric.ini and change the BrightGhostComboThreshold to 99999
