I noticed that if you open Notifications from its own page (notifications.php) it will show you which is new and which is not.
However this doesn't apply if we open the notifications from the drop-down list by clicking that part in-between the language switcher and the username.
Can you do something with this, Al? I don't know, highlighting it? Making a different icon for them by adding an exclamation mark to the icons? Your choice.
