KONAMI is proud to announce the music game "DanceDanceRevolution (hereinafter "DDR") will be heading to smartphones in an upcoming February, 2012 North American and European release.

Oh wow! Looks like ol' Konami isn't leaving us in the dust with the series, this looks great! Nice to see the avatar phenomenon making its way here too.

Hopefully, they change the usual DDR X theme, combo, song select, menus, all that stuff with at least a new theme or DDR X2 theme. Tired of seeing the DDR X theme THREE TIMES IN A ROW ಠ_ಠ

I too am getting tired of the X theme in iOS DDRs.

Also (This is just an estimation), if this app does release on other phones or OSs, it will most likely be on the Android and iOS store. Having it on any touch-phone would be a dream, yet challenging for KONAMI at the same time, so I figure the amount of systems is limited to Android and iOS for the moment.

You know, Konami. A new theme would be nice every once in a while. Just saying.

No, Konami only refers to "smartphones" in the press release.

I want...

1. A theme other than X theme.
2. Closer space between the arrows or an option to adjust arrow size and/or distance.
3. Better default songs.


Otherwise, great job Konami. At least DDR sees release outside of iOS these days.

According to the post, it doesn't say anything about this being the official theme. They could change it at anytime. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I just looked looked at this posts info, not the website or anything.
