It's nice that you got jacket support, but I honestly think you should make banners the fallback to use, not the backgrounds. A lot of my files replaced the original banners with jackets while retaining the same redirect, and I know a few categories that are set up that way on Zenius. (Prologue, Underground, etc.)

In reality, it's actually an easy fix; go into MusicWheelItem Song NormalPart's default.lua, and remove any instance of

-- Use Background if we want Jackets
elseif ( Song:GetBackgroundPath() ~= nil ) and ( bAllowJackets ) then
self:Load( Song:GetBackgroundPath() );
self:playcommand("Jacket");

If there is enough demand (this probably hits the nail though), I'll put this in by default on Beta 1.1

I did that, and now no banners appear at all except for the group banners... Did I do something wrong?

Only thing that I want to do is make the combo and accuracy display go under the arrows, and show percentile scoring. How would I go about doing this? Or would I have to wait until a patch or something O.o

I think there's a metric that can do that.

And for lack of score, have you ever played Pump it Up? Also, SM5 allows you to set what scoring method you want, by the way.

Haven't ever played PIU, but I kinda need to know where the metric is to change it.. not too familiar with it. Also I have it set as percentile scoring, but it's only showing the DDRextreme or w/e I have set up as the secondary scoring.

"choons"
I kindly made an announcer for this theme. I'm still in progress of a v2 but will give link to you when it's ready.

You don't want to know if you cleared or not?

I'm actually going to be redoing ScreenStage and the Cleared/Failed screens entirely

I actually play with fail off, so it does kinda seem pointless x.x

Btw, I'd love to test random things for you if you ever need someone else's input

I'm high D5/Low D6 by ffr standards, if that means anything to you..

also, if there are say, 100 misses, it just shows a combo for them, instead of saying 100 misses, it's just 100 combo

>wants this to be the best theme ever

"Oh god what I have dooooone?!"
lol, you got posted into the EQD roundup. Prepare for a large influx of members.

Might I also suggest that you send it to equestriagaming? http://www.equestriagaming.com/

That was actually my doing, and it was to gain some support for the simfile pack. Good idea to try Equestria Gaming, though.

More On-Topic: I'm looking forward to seeing the changes you make to the theme next beta. The theme improved greatly from alpha to beta, so I'm hopeful, for the next version, the AWESOMENESS WILL BE (almost?) DOUBLED.

3.9? No. Seriously. No. It's like Windows XP in my eyes, the one everyone still uses because they don't trust the new versions. It was good then, and may be still for some, but you've GOT to move towards the present. StepMania 5 in normal use is rather stable.

Ironic. I still only trust XP (and might look into 7, but never Vista), yet I moved on to SM5.

5L1N65H07, I do suggest you try SM5. There are so many new features and improved features from 3.9, like real screen filters, tempo-only rate mods, real WS, and overall better stuff. Plus, you can link your SM5 to your 3.9 and not have to copy the files over.

Quoting this because I feel not enough people in the Stepmania community understand this.

When the Timing scores (Marvelous/perfect/great/etc) are said, it goes from too small to too big I think.. Make it look very odd at fast paced songs. The default theme has the right size and big/small ratio down I think.

Unfortunately my transition to 5 has been really rough. I don't blame anyone for sticking with 3.9 for a bit longer.
