I think that means Replicant-D-Action could be on DDR II. Only time will tell, though.

You might have totally missed the point, universo is asking if the video that you see by clicking on the image is real or fake. It shows someone's record data in RDA being all PFC's, including VdimChallenge.
Oh wow....didn't notice that even though it was right in my face.

Seems fake, however I am not too fond of the Wii DDR series to the point where I don't know if you can easily connect a Gamecube/Wii Classic Controller and play just like you can for the PS2/PS3 versions.

@Domino: *facepalm* He is clearly joking.

To add onto this, was it really necessary to bump the thread over this? It would be GODLY IMPRESSIVE if this was done on AC but....this is done on a system where you can hook up a controller and get a PFC on Pluto Relinquish or in this case, Valkyrie Dimension. in AC you can't do that.

Hiya, have only just got this for Wii, as the previous ones i didn't fancy the look of as they didn't seem to have very many of the Konami songs, and we usually prefer those to the pop songs. So been playing on the Playstation ones all this time still! (Though, do have one of those metal platform dance mats for the PS, so needed to be a Wii game that looked good enough to bother going back to a regular mat! Anyone know if the PS to Wii control adaptors actually work?!)

Anyway, not a big fan of unlocking, is there a shortcut/easiest way to do it?! I saw everything's unlocked at a certain amount of points, which seems a bane to me Annoyed Can anything be done to hasten the situation?! especially since I really just wanna get to the Konami songs.

Someone was mentioning how they're dropping the ball and getting lapped by the games DDR inspired. I never played the others for Wii so don't know if they do already...but seems like they could have downloadable songs like Rock Band does. Would be SO awesome to be able to d/l your fav songs for DDR, either originals or licensed. Seems like a lost opportunity that Shocked

Anyway, any help about unlocking would be so immensly appreciated! Puppy Face

The quickest way is to complete the challenges that the game suggest to you before every song, and make sure you meet all the criteria, even if you use a controller to do it. To be honest, the licenses and X3 preview songs are so high-quality, that it really doesn't seem to take that long to unlock everyone.

A PS > Wii adapter will probably involve a fair bit of lag, but you most metal platforms have control boxes availible for them that replace the PS connection with a straight-forward Wii connection... Of course, nobody makes metal platforms anymore, so you might need Ebay to track them down.

Thanks so much Tyma. Oh, hadn't even thought to see if there was just a diff controller box, or just assumed there wouldn't be for some reason since the metal platform's pretty old now.

Ok, will try all the challenges then...just waiting for the room to cool down a bit before trying! You say doesn't take that long, but maybe you're just one of them amazin' dancers?! Laughing Out Loud

Shame no one makes the metal platforms anymore though. For how long it has lasted (Must have bought it in 2005/2006), it was def worth the money in the long run (was about £100 total) and so much easier for a lot of jumps and not moving around. The plastic step buttons started cracking immediately, but I just put clear tape over all of them. That said, I wouldn't even have the extra £ right now anyway for one Confused

Thanks again!

I think I'm always going to miss the original announcer too! My daughter agrees, we think he was the best one Sad

I forget, can you import the DDR 2010 songs to DDR II? That'd be awesome if you can.

I don't think you can import songs except for that DanceDanceRevolution megamix thingy. I'm not sure if you can import anything else though.

I don't think there has ever been a DDR US CS game, hell rather a DDR CS game in general that allows you to transplant the same songlist from the previous game over to the new one.

Some of the solutions to this was that some games later on in the series included songs from previous mixes, but only 2 or 3, but that was it. I think the ONLY thing you are able to take from the older games and move them upwards through the series is EDIT DATA, but nothing else.

DDR 2010 (PS3/360) could have been the only one, but even then each pack contained around 5 songs, if the game was successful enough, by now it could have actually gotten all the songs from Dance Dance Revolution all the way up to DDR X2 and we maybe, JUST maybe could have gotten DDR X3 songs as well, making it a true DDR arcade port. But no, we got SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT.

DDR 3rd ReMix let you import songs from the first 2 games, but they dropped it after that, because switching discs between songs wasn't very fun :{

I think the only exception was the later ULTRAMIXes using the prior mix's DLC. Can't remember if UNIVERSE did the same thing or not.

I don't think the Universes do, I remember the ones I got from Uni1 not showing in 2.

(Apropos of nothing I'm still annoyed they got rid of White Hot from the store.)

Universe 3 has "repackages" of Universe 1/2's DLC, but due to some odd technicality it has to be purchased seperately. Last mix to have OG DYNAMITE RAVE because of this, btw.

Hello everyone,

Here is my member intro. I bought the game last year on a whim to get some exercise when I couldn't go walking outside during the winter, and I've been playing for the past few months at home. My experience with rhythm games is mostly from osu (I was pretty decent, peaking at global rank 1.5k in 2017 or so, but I was never top 1000 which I consider the cutoff for being high level), though I do play osu!mania (4key game) on occasion as a beginner. I have a foam DDR game pad that I could connect to a laptop and play many stepmania charts, including ones from DDR, but I liked the idea of playing on a console and AFAIK after all this time, this is still the most recent console DDR game you can buy.

I started off playing some basic charts and now I try to play 10s and 11s and get AAs on them, while trying to pass 12-14s. I quite like the songs I recognize, mainly the famous rhythm game ones that sometimes show up in osu such as MEI, ΔMAX, New Decade, London Evolved, Smooooch, and Shiny World. All the pop songs are pretty dated at this point and the 80s songs like Don't You Want Me have aged better.

At the moment I keep track of my scores by taking pictures of them on my phone and entering them into a personal spreadsheet. Is there any place on the forums where I can post some scores or even videos of me awkwardly playing? Big Grin Obviously I play without a bar on the default Konami mat and it always slides to the left when I'm playing, meaning I end up completely missing notes if I'm not paying attention. I don't think I'll be able to get good scores on much higher diffs without getting a proper metal pad.

Anyway, thanks for reading this blurb. I was inspired by Etienne's videos on famous DDR players and I had a hard time finding places to talk about DDR (I posted on r/dancedancerevolution sometimes). So this looks like a nice place with a big community, though the forums are still not as active as I'd like.

Welcome to Zenius! We're really happy to have you here.

I wholeheartedly agree that DDR II is one of the best, if not THE best, DDR game to be released on home consoles in America. I still find myself playing it every now and then instead of StepMania just because I enjoy the tracklist that much. I've totally been there with the soft pad, as most of us probably have.

Technically this post should have gone under the Introductions Thread as this thread had been inactive for 8 years (wow!) but as it did pertain to the game itself I believe you're fine. Please be sure to follow proper forum etiquette and if you need any assistance with navigating the site or learning about its features don't hesitate to reach out to me via PM or any moderator.

Enjoy your stay!

Thanks for the kind reply. That introduction thread is pretty hard to find!
I actually live within reasonable driving distance to several arcades with DDR machines, but it is so much easier to play at home. It's a shame that there haven't been any more DDR releases for home devices such as the Switch/PS4 because I played Just Dance on the Switch and Stepmania with my crappy foam pad with some college dorm friends a year ago and we all had a great time. I think it would be a great success, even more so if released last year when so many people were stuck at home.

My favorite songs from the tracklist are pretty much all in the hidden category (The Replicant Action points were finished pretty quickly). They are: oarfish, Dummy, dirty digital, smooooch, Decade, GOLD RUSH, FIRE FIRE, Second Heaven (absolute classic), CG Project, aftershock!!, Poseidon(kors k mix), Dazzlin' Darlin, Theory of Eternity, Yellow Candy, ΔMAX, 888 (too fast for me), UNBELIEVABLE (Sparky remix), Pierce The Sky, Shiny World, London EVOLVED, Anti-Matter, POSSESSION, New Decade, and of course, Valkyrie Dimension (QUOI? UN PP??). All those great songs made it into one console game!

kors k is a legend; I would love for mind mapping (video below) to be charted. I have some experience making easy osu mania maps so I would seriously consider making a chart just for this song. And I have plenty of other tracker music bangers that could make excellent charts too Tongue (I tried my hand at composing chiptune music back in 2012ish but nothing ever sounded good)
