Konami Pre-E3 Show

.....not kidding, THIS is what Konami's E3 page is all about. So we basically have Konami characters from what appears to be every single game Konami's ever made in this bracket-style voting elimination to see who is going against who in....some...brawl-type thing?

You would think that it would at least give you some details as to what they would be showing like they did last year....oh well, 16 days, 5 hours and 56 minutes until the Konami E3 2012 Pre-E3 show.

I'd doubt that, seeing that if that was the case, I would vote for Big Boss and The Boss to be in it. I think this is simply one of those "vote to get your favorite Konami Character to the top of the list to see who is the favorite of them all!" kind of deals.

Why Rage and Emi? Everyone chooses them. Konami should use Disco or Queen-Zukin, they'd seriously dominate!

This is just one out of four different brackets Konami is making for their fans to use, so Queen-Zukin and Disco might appear in the other three as well as possibly Baby-Lon, Gus, Alice, Yuni, Robo-Zukin, and the other characters.

You know what would be shocking as all hell? IIDX and Pop'n characters join in this fight. It might seem likely seeing that so far the list has some memorable characters, and some that I've never heard of from games that are over 15 to 20 years old that are probably only known in Japan...

They did a similar thing last year IIRC.

I wouldn't be surprised at all honestly if they did that. This is pretty neat, and although I don't want to look too deeply into this, if anything it shows that DDR/BEMANI still has an influence on things. Anticipating some info on a new title. ;)

You are correct, however it seems that this year THIS is the highlight of Konami's E3 presence for 2012, there is no Konami E3 2012 preliminary page or anything describing the games they will be talking about at this year's E3, only showing a countdown to their pre-E3 2012 show like last year....

I am PUMPED to give Rage and Emi one of a whole 50-ish votes they might get if they're lucky. <3

I'd nominate Zero but he's effed. Alice would be adorable, but as it is, I'm actually surprised a whopping two, two DDR characters made the list oh my goodness. Then again, this is the only Konami series game I follow closely...

A Zukin or Concent would be awesome but I have no idea how they would pick them. Part considering Victory Concent is superior to everyone and he hasn't been released in America.

I guess you forgot the part where I said that this is only one out of FOUR brackets Konami's making and that more characters will be revealed soon after? Other than Silent Hill and MGS characters, i don't honestly know who else outside of BEMANI will be added into the list.

I am definitely sure there will be more DDR characters other than Emi and Rage, heck they have enough to fit in the current 8 major DDR characters in there if they wanted to. We will just have to see who gets put in and who doesn't, voting starts May 18th so that should be an indicator as to when they will reveal more characters until the voting begins to give the fans a chance to choose who should move up a bracket and so on and so forth.

Well I figured, but with the "characters are useless" convos that pop up now and then, I kind of figured we were out of luck for the rest of the bracket.

But if anyone else, I would think at least Disco might wind up on there. It's not a party without him.

I think Disco probably stands a good chance. They should add Concent(Victory please!) or Zukin(Robo or Queen, plus I'd love to see Howie's reaction, lol) to the characters, but with the release of DDR II, the character list got extremely reduced down so expect some character from the Hottest Party series to be added instead(*cough cough* Rena).

Though maybe Pix or Rinon stand a good chance as well.

Guess what? Mimi and Nyami from Pop N' Music are in the latest list. The possibility of the last list containing at least one or two characters from IIDX is now more likely than ever.
