yeah, i've tried too in SM5 Preview 3
to fix it
go to PS3_VIVID, then open metrics.ini
change the following line

[Global]
FallbackNoteSkin=

to

[Global]
FallbackNoteSkin=default

Yeah, I think I have gathered enough info to warrant a good bump.

So I have been noticing something queer with the PS3 Vivid noteskin.

Here is Paranoia Hades on edit mode (using PatrickIIDX and AJ 187's 5th mix theme), with the default arrows.

And here it is being played with the noteskin.

This makes playing with notes other than 4th and 8th notes very difficult on harder songs.

I'm pretty sure this issue also applies on the 3.9+ version.

PROBLEM #1! when freeze arrows the top of the screen just zoom back and forth!
PROBLEM #2! ERROR! The NoteSkin element 'Left tap note 96th' could not be found in 'NoteSkins/dance/2010_mc_note/', 'NoteSkins/dance/default/', or 'NoteSkins/common/default/'.

i am using SM 3.9 amx+redux and theme ddrx2ac

I can't seem to find those redir/sprites for the noteskins. Any of you guys have? I'm having a hard time.. Also, can I have a DL for the rainbow noteskin?

Which reminds me, never really knew if he fixed up the bugs I pointed out.

The holds on AMX is shaky. I've done the one with SM5, just the AMX one only. How can I make it normal?

how do you open metics.ini for the noteskin I use sm5. p.s I am using a Mac

use TextMate if you use mac

Macs come default with TextEdit, but any document editor should be fine.
