Howie's Adventures at A-Kon

If you're not familiar with A-Kon, it's an anime convention that takes place in Dallas, Texas. While it is where I get most of my adult material from, it's also an event with many other things to see and do. I plan on making some videos while I'm here, as long as my computer doesn't bitch out and die like it did last year.




I'll also be taking pictures of things like sweet cosplays and whatnot...and maybe some fail cosplays as things like this tend to go.

Oh, man, that video is funny, especially the IIDX GOOOOOLD part.

You should attend the New York Anime Festival. This year, it'll take place at the same time as New York Comic-Con, so you'll end up with a load of WIN and FAIL cosplays from both sides. Note that both events are not combined as one.

Rawrg, I haven't been to a con... You should tell me about these things! =P

Here's an example from New York Anime Festival 2009...

Yes, that is a guy suited up as Bumblebee from the Transformers films. He is sitting on a garbage can.

In general, anime cons can get insane (and sometimes expensive). A large crowd surrounded Bumblebee when he arrived that Saturday.

I was amused.

Keep them coming.

Yeah NY is a bit out of the way for me... there were some in Kansas before I moved out of Missouri, but I didn't have a car at the time.

Oh, I have that same Akira Kogami shirt. I don't wear that one too much. And if only I'd go to a Con to have these 'novel' experiences...

Since there are no conventions where you are, I think the closest one from ya is in Atlanta (Anime Weekend Atlanta). Hope this helps.
