It's funny how many colleges have "Walking classes." You just clock in how much you have walked today. Cool I'm doing it this upcoming fall semester and just clocking how much DDR I've done.
If you do mostly 9 footers or above without using the various energy conserving techniques, and practically no breaks, clock it as double time.

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
So....a couple things on this game:

Amazon "Walk it Out" Page

First off, this is actually selling pretty decently. With still a month to come out, Walk it out is ranked #743 in video games on that site, which is probably is a good indicator to Konami. Obviously Amazon isn't where everyone buys their video games, but when they had that sale on Hottest Party 2 a couple weeks ago, I noticed that HP2 sales jumped 20,000 in a two-week period, so it probably is at least a decent indicator of how sales will go.

It's actually kind of funny, I only searched for the game on Amazon because I was bored and wanted to see how laughably bad the game was selling. Guess the joke's on me, huh?

Another thing I noticed in the product description was:

Quote: Name
Music to get you going! The only fitness-focused game that keeps you in the game with great music! Move to the beat of 120 songs, including 20 favorite licensed tracks.

So, 120 songs and 20 are licenses....Is this telling me that 100 of these songs are going to Konami Originals? Oh boy, I can't to see which ones they pick...

If this is true, I might be sold if they are good songs.

Unlike the video, that game doesn't look too promising. Besides, people can do that anytime: it's called bring your Ipod/CD Player/something with which to listen to with you. Didn't KONAMI know?Dead

Thought of that song too...

Looks like KONAMI originals would be making an appearance:

Quote: KONAMI Press Release
KONAMI UNVEILS NEW DETAILS AND MINI-GAMES FOR WALK IT OUT!

Over 100 Songs Awaits Players in this Innovative Game That Brings Fitness, Rhythm & Exploration To WiiTM in January 2010

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.
today unveiled new details and mini-game mechanics for Walk It Out! Coming to retail stores nationwide on Wii™ in January 2010, Walk It Out! is a unique game that marries a high-energy/low impact fitness game with rhythm-based gameplay to make for a fun and rewarding exer-gaming experience for the whole family.

Walk It Out! sets itself apart from other fitness games by offering one of the largest and most diverse on-disc music libraries of ANY game across all genres. Players can step to the beat to over 100 great songs, including licensed master tracks and re-records of some of yesterday and today's hottest artists (Demi Lovato, Jesse McCartney, Ne-Yo and more) to original songs from some of the same artists who created music for the legendary DanceDanceRevolution® series.

In addition to the robust musical content, Walk It Out! core appeal is the unique gameplay elements. Part exploration and part fitness game, players step to the beat to unlock the secrets of an ever-growing and expansive in-game world. Stroll past oceanside harbors, gaze up at skyscrapers, amble through bustling city squares, parks and other vistas. The whole while, players are reinforced of their efforts as the game tracks progress with in-game charts, graphs and visuals to show calories burned, distance traveled, steps taken and more!

In addition to the main exploration game, which two players can play cooperatively, Walk It Out! also contains mini-games and puzzles to offer additional modes of gameplay that utilize the full library of music you've unlocked in the main game. Some of the fun and exciting games include:

Whack-a-Slack: Stomp on Slackies (negative energy creatures) as they emerge through circles corresponding to the directional arrows on your DanceDanceRevolution controller or your Wii Remote™ controller. Select your difficulty, and then play through a single song you've unlocked in the main game or endless to play as long as you want!

Psycolo: Solve a brainteaser while you step to the rhythm of one of your favorite songs to keep your health up!

Smash 'n' Run!: Put a good record on, chase down those Slackies and whack them with your hammer! Build up your hammer by moving to the beat so that you can smash even bigger and lazier Slackies!

Walk It Out! has a very easy-to-use control scheme and is compatible with a DanceDanceRevolution Controller or a Wii Balance Board™. In addition, the game can be played with just the Wii Remote and Nunchuk™ as well.

Walk It Out! for Wii will be available in January 2010. For screenshots, product information and more, please visit www.konami.com/downloads.

Not sure, I think you can play it with either:

Wiimote and Nunchuk
Wii Balance Board
DDR Controller

What the hell. These better not be exclusive, never to ever be re-used or released on a soundtrack songs. Sad

...Did KONAMI just make walking awesome?

This is ridiculous. I was wondering where most of the songs from DDR X2 CS went. Looks like Al found them.
