Hello all,

The score tracker lists MTINTK single expert as having 277 steps, but in fact it only has 227:
http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/viewpicture.php?pictureid=7603
(Yeah, I missed a freeze arrow and a bunch of steps, I suck).

Now, what I'm wondering is how everyone on the high score list (bar one) has managed to hit 50 steps more than the maximum Tongue The highscore pics (on e.g. DJ Sterf) all clearly show 227 steps too.

Can this be fixed, plx? :]

Didn't MAX 2 add 2 to your combo for jumps instead of just the 1?

NVM, my guess is that the folks who AAA'd it just selected the option that just fills in all Perfects on your score, so they sit at 277.

It wasn't until SuperNOVA2 arcade that they changed jumps counting as 2 steps to 1.

It was one of those SuperNOVAs. I can't recall whether or not it was SuperNOVA or SuperNOVA2.

Jumps counting as 1 was first introduced in 1stMIX and got deleted in MAX.
Came back in EX CS US.

It was even like that before EXTREME. I remember KONAMIX and 5thMIX being that way as well.

Well, I meant in terms of more recent arcade releases. Back then I know the were counted as one. MAX through EXTREME had it at two, but it was reverted back in SuperNOVA should the information be correct.

Unfortunately this is a step count decrease, so I had to reset all the scores for that chart to a low score. People need to simply click Assign All To Perfects, All O.K. again to fix it.

My front room, Manchester, UK.

It's actually a 3rdMIX ver.Korea 2 that I've upgraded (new monitor, yo), so will run 3rdMIX ver.Korea 2, 3rdMIX (JP), 4thMIX Plus, 5thMIX, MAX, MAX2, Extreme... and SuperNOVA 2 (as soon I buy the stupidly-expensive-costs-more-than-the-motherboard-and-game-combined Extended I/O board needed to plug in the stage lights and get it running - grr, Konami).

When I can be bothered I'll probably try and buy a EuroMIX motherboard for it too, for nostalgia's sake.

I just remember from when I started playing MAX on the PS2. It was the US release of EXTREME 2 that counted jumps as single combos. I don't remember for sure if the home version of 8th mix counted it as two or not.

btw, how do you change that on Stepmania? I've been really wanting to do that.

DDR EXTREME USA was the one that restarted counting jumps as one. It was last seen on DDR 5th Mix JP CS. EXTREME JP CS counted jumps as two.

As for StepMania counting jumps as one instead of two like it normally does, change scoring to 5th Mix scoring.

Then perhaps you should read the thread. It's just a couple posts above yours.
