I'm a little worried about how strict the whole number thing is.

Based on these rules:


I am led to believe that any replacement of a word or letter or any other non-number with a representation of a number is banned.

For example, I started working on 2 On by Tinashe. I've already completed the skeleton for it and was about to start stepping it, but then I realized that it may violate the rules. The phrase is actually 2 on, but "I love to get two on" doesn't make sense unless you want two objects on something.

Another option I thought of was Be The One by Dua Lipa. In this case, it seems to be a clear violation of the second rule in that quote, given that "the one" refers to your soulmate, basically.

I was considering stepping CO5M1C R4ILR0AD this week and consulted Daffa about it since I wasn't sure about this rule either. To quote the response I got:

Anyways... I decided on something else instead. CO5M1C R4ILR0AD is still pretty rough around the edges even after working on it on and off since 2016. I might end up just releasing that in my own category instead of using it for a contest.

That one I'm not entirely sure, only because "CL of 2NE1" is technically the guest artist and not otherwise part of the title. Ask Daffa.

Yeah, even though it's the subtitle the numbers are still part of an artist on the song. You could easily move the subtitle to the artist line and it would still work.

That said, I'd wait for Daffa before removing the file.

Huh. I just assumed "6th Remix" meant it was literally the sixth remix or something. I didn't realize 6th was the name of the artist. Yeah, if Daffa isn't allowing artist names to count, that file would be a problem too.

Remixes are a bit different. Theoretically you could do Resonant Systems remixed by 6th, but generally the convention is to put the remixer in the subtitle. For featured artists the conventions are different, or rather not well-defined. Some people put the featuring tag in the title, others put it in a subtitle, and others just add it on to the artist. I think the best bet would be to go by how the song was released.



So in this case, it would be allowed based on how the song was released.
