Week 4 leaderboard (click for 1080p):
- Congrats to all winners, and Feraligatr for being this week's VIP!
- I don't have much else to say, so I'll leave you with this bump chart.
- It's a bit broken but it should still be readable, I think. It updates every week.

Ooh... this will be a tricky one.
Heads up to all of you other contestants: Pop 'n Music should have some good 3/4 beat songs. Otherwise, I suggest looking up a waltz or something. X3
I'm also really excited to try some of your entries for round 5! The music is pretty groovy!
*Note to Gameoson: That challenge chart for Leprechaun has steps with 3 ARROWS? Is this for a dance pad or a keyboard? X3

Either bend down and slap the third arrow with your hand or do some bracketing to hit it. It's not hard.

Last week, I stepped five songs from the beatmania IIDX franchise, including my entry for Wind Jammers week. That streak has officially been broken with this song from GITADORA Matixx.

You’ll be getting some Greek folk music for this I reckon.
If I can be bothered to do it.

Iris - PHQUASE
2 / 4 / 7 / 9
This song has been swirling around in my head for weeks, and I tried stepping it a couple times, but the irregular time signatures made it a bit frustrating. It’s predominantly in 3/4 with a couple of measures of 3/8 here and there, along with a brief 6/8 section in the middle. The tune reminds me of a water level from Super Monkey Ball or something, so I tried to be a bit more adventurous with some of the patterns, especially on the harder difficulties. Figuring out how to set the tempo so the quarter note falls on the downbeat was the most difficult part of making the file, but once I got that down, adding the steps was a lot of fun.
also happy Pride Month yall

I wasn't up to stepping Venetian Snares after all.
WICKeD CROSS / OSTER project
1/2 4/5 6/8 9/12 11/16
Funny how I've been listening to OSTER project since well before her BEMANI debut, and yet this is only the second song of her's that I've stepped. And the first one wasn't even under her usual alias.
Anyways, there's a total of 7 and a half in-game measures in the middle of the song that are 6/8 time (or maybe it's 3/4, IDK, I screw up on 3/4 vs. 6/8 all the time).

First of all, I wanna give a big "terima kasih" to DaffaK for taking the theme idea Gameoson and I came up with last year for this year's contest. I was hoping it would happen because I've had quite a handful of songs in mind for a theme like this...
(☆゚∪゚)ノ”【☆:;:☆麗しきエトワールアンジュ / shiori☆:;:☆】
1 | 3 | 5 | 8 | 10
(Suggested X-scale difficulties: 1 | 5 | 8 | 13 | 17)
This song is entirely in 3/4 time.
It's ESPECIALLY perfect that this theme was chosen for this week as TOMORROW is the birthday of MIYU, the character of this song in Pop'n Music!
Not much I can say about these charts other than that they've been sitting in my WIP's for a while and I'm glad to have gotten them done for this week. The difficulty spike from to to is pretty interesting, so all 3 of those charts or at least and are worth checking out!

You're welcome! Actually, I'm kinda run out of good idea for the theme but fortunately, by salvaging some of the post, I finally found a pretty good theme thanks to you and Gameoson.
Oh yeah, here's my 6th Week entry (that was pretty fast, Daffa~)
A man born to fight.
An enemy bent on conquest.
Let battle commence!
conflict
siromaru + cranky
Ratings: 2 / 5 / 7 / 9 / 11

There is a time signature change to 7/4 at the middle part of the song that last for 11 measures so that counts.

Isn't that song already in one of the simfile contests? Because that count right?
btw, Flame Dark is entirely 3/4, sowwy.

There's no rule against using songs that were in previous simfile competitions. Half of my entries this year have already been stepped in the past because apparently i'm too much of a loser to step original stuff

[Uncommon Time] - The last of world music / BEMANI Sound Team"猫叉Master"
DOWNLOAD
2 4 7 9
X-SCALE: 3/5/11/14
Honestly. This round was difficult to me and Idk if What I did is ok, so I will hope the criticism.
And..... idk why my simfile is first on the simfile list
In addition, I made bg, jacket and bn inspiring in anothers nekomata master songs
BUMP: Simfile re-uploaded, I have fixed a little thing in bg, bn and jacket

Queen of Your Heart by Tut Tut Child feat. Augustus Ghost
Classic: - 3 / - 5 / - 8
X-Scale: - 4 / - 7 / - 11
All of it is in 5/4 time. That was a bit of a challenge to step something in uncommon time signatures.

It's because you put a space at the very front of the title when you uploaded it.

Oh yeah, a casual reminder that I probably not available from now on until the end of week 5 votes since I'm having a holiday. So, if you wanna casting your votes, I recommend you all to send your votes to Pandy or Gameoson.
Good luck!

Slow Me Down / Emmy Rossum
- 1 | - 3 | - 5 | - 7
Challenged myself to step something that wasn't Vocaloid/Utaite for once (and trust me I had one ready for this week).
The song switches from 3/4 to 6/8 throughout. SM5 does not handle time signatures correctly at all, so the entire thing was treated as 3/4 in edit mode.
Oh yeah, btw if you've PM'ed me for notes on [Covered Up] files, I'll get back to you hopefully tomorrow. This week's been kinda hectic, so I wanted to get this in first.
