I was lurking recently, had forgotten my password so I couldn't log in (finally retrieved it from some archived data), but anywho, I searched for these sarahoh simfiles, finally found and downloaded and played at least most of them. I think some of these people are being pretty overly harsh on the creator. Yes, there are sync issues and incorrect BPMs in the files, but those can be fixed as the creator becomes more experienced in making simfiles. Regarding the background images, I personally think it shouldn't matter if the image has anything to do with the actual song. If the creator is making a file for a song that they enjoy and using images of things they like, then that should be perfectly fine. There are a lot of simfiles that people make where they don't even include graphics. Yeah, those probably get judged pretty poorly as well, but it shouldn't really matter, unless the files are made specifically for some competition or something where things are judged based on quality and design. Otherwise, no need to be so dang hard on someone for just sharing something they enjoy.
If the creator is making these files for use in a freestyle setting, my only real suggestion would be to not use BPM changes and stops in the files as an incorrect value can throw off the sync which could throw off a player's freestyle routine. Aside from that, I think the files I've seen and played are a good start. I would also recommend Dance Dance Convolution if you just want to plug a song into StepMania and not have to mess around in the step editor beforehand. The steps this thing makes are pretty decent and it supports all difficulties. Results do vary, depending on the song, but are generally pretty decent.

instead of recommending an autogen that does not help someone get better at making simfiles and just results in junk steps, recommend a way to improve at charting and placing steps within a chart.
which i'm not going to because idk how is supposed to work.
come back to me when it's anything else.

My results using DDC have been perfectly acceptable, in that I've found them to be playable and fun. Recommended it for those interested in just having a bit of fun right away and not having to spend time in the editor.

Considering sarahoh is an alt (I assuming, judging from these threads) of Nezemarth...Oh, well ok then. If an alt, then yeah, I guess that's against the rules, isn't it...

Just to clarify, Nezemarth was only pretending to be sarahoh. They're not the same user.

Unfortunately, sarahoh, most likely not. Aside from the unfortunately inadequate sync (particularly in Bianca), I guess these aren't the worst beginner-level charts (though they would be better off on basic/ ), but the problem is, virtually everyone would prefer playing the simfiles that were submitted for tournaments, and/or those made by reputable simfile makers.

They're all truly great and it's hard to pick what's the worst. The best is that one without the one foot rating.
