Does anyone have a theme template that is easy for beginning themers to build off of? Gonna build a theme for my YouTube videos that is unique to my likes

link to 3.9? How would I customize it even further?
I thought there was a COMPLETELY blank theme (basically default but everything is white so I can customize as much as I want)

The _fallback theme looks like you just have a black screen, because it doesn’t have graphics for most of the elements that are present. If you start pressing buttons, you’ll see that it does work. Another thing to try at first could be making a copy of another theme and changing it, as this is easier than doing an entire theme by yourself (and what made 3.9 theming easier is that virtually all themes were done this way), but you should probably switch to making themes from scratch, or at least partially from scratch.
Also do not ever modify the _fallback theme. It’s important for making sure other themes work properly.

https://github.com/ListenerJubatus/SM-ThreePointNine/archive/master.zip is the most complete one I know, but I don't think it's complete. There hasn't been very much interest in converting SMMAX to SM5.

The fallback theme is a full working template, if you are just looking for a theme to swap images, that is different. If you wanna the 3.x theme use the link that flameyboy have provided.

Fallback isn't a template per se. It's meant to be a base to work from as a child theme of all themes.
