ziv furry corner when?
I kinda dig the whole circular instead of square thing coming up. Think it's an improvement on how sleek it'll look.

I don't know if the following features are already implemented and I haven't found them!
I think that in the arcades section there should be an option to filter out arcades by the state of the machine you're looking for. E.g. I might want to find a location with DDR X2 in Moderate to Perfect condition and I could just filter it out to only show locations with machines in conditions within that range. Also, maybe filter by what region the machine is from like maybe I want to find a Japanese DDR Supernova 2 in my country then I could just filter it out to show locations with machines from that region in my country.
Sorry for any grammatical/structural/spelling mistakes I'm not the greatest at those.

Simfile-based suggestions (that might already be in the pipeline):
- Allow subcategories in simfile packs. The pack owner(s?) can set which simfiles belong to a subcategory, and everyone can download just those files. Definitely useful for contest and seasonal packs.
- Allow multiple graphics? IDK about anyone else but I usually make two sets of graphics (DDR/ITG-sized) and would love for the site to support hosting both. Downloaders can then choose between the two sets.
Then again, from what I read, I understood the new format basically being "custom ZIP upload", so I'm definitely curious to see how it would handle, for example, downloads with/without videos. Colour me excited!

There will be more filter options in the Arcades update. Hang tight for more information!Quote: vincentw

Subcategories seems like an odd word choice, maybe "sections"? Not sure how often this feature would be used, but I can see it being used for contests and categories catering to a large series of files, with a section for each release. We'll think about this one.- Allow subcategories in simfile packs. The pack owner(s?) can set which simfiles belong to a subcategory, and everyone can download just those files. Definitely useful for contest and seasonal packs.

Lately, when I've been making graphics, I make two backgrounds (16:9 and 4:3) and assign them to the SSC and SM files respectively, since most SM5 builds use widescreen displays. Thanks to the new streamlined upload engine, multiple graphics will be possible. 😉
Some more cool stuff:
• ZIv will be more SEO friendly. Alan hates SEO, but I don't. I'm going to help him with that.
• Website URL's will no longer look ugly. For example, the DDR A thread URL ends with "/thread?threadid=8445," but on ZIv 2018, it will end with "/thread/dancedancerevolution-a-ac-international--8445."
• Later down the line, there will be better social media sharing support. OpenGraph, Twitter Card, and Schema.org rules will be improved.

I see that in the User Options we have "Score Tracker Defaults."
Can you also include defaults for Score Tracker(Course) in the User Options?

Dumb Suggestion: Courses should have its own section, like downloading DDR courses and fanmade courses. Similar to downloading simfiles in the simfile section.

Not too bad of an idea, but I'm unsure of how often that functionality would be used. We'll keep it in the back burner for now.

I'm feeling happy to finally see an update for this website. Mentioned features sound really good, so I believe I'm making some sparks for waiting for it.
I have some suggestions:
- General Site:
--- Notifications system like Facebook and Gmail do.
- Uploading Simfiles.
--- Allow .mp4 for the video (because currently, AVI only).
- Private Messages
--- Use a "live messenger" interface.
That's all for now...

I think this is a cool idea, main issue I can see is obtaining the required simfiles, unless links are provided. It'd be especially cool if you could select the files directly from the site to create your own courses of what's available here. Of course, that's just a minor suggestion. I might not use it much though, since Waiei doesn't support courses.

xRGTMx, I did say a "live messenger" interface because you can see the "whole chat" with the other member instead the current system to press back and search like crazy each previous message (and force oneself to remember what did he/she write before those replies)...

the point of responsive is that the site resizes itself automatically based on window size.

I suggest that in the possible new layout of the simfile category's song list, only the difficulty ratings of stepped play styles and game modes are displayed. So that some simfiles with solo charts (or any other play style aside from single and double) will also have their difficulty ratings displayed in the list.

Is this still in development? If so, how close is it to being finished? It's 2019 and there have been no updates in about a year.

So if the forum favorites will be removed, is there a way to bookmark certain forum topic in the new version?... I will need to backup the one I have at the moment....
