SM5: DDR Supernova/X-style characters and stages

Hi all! I've seen some SM5 gameplay videos and it looks like they now have those characters and stages from the recent DDR versions. How are those done and where to find them?
I haven't played Stepmania in a while and recently going back to it. Thanks!

It's done through background videos rather than any actual 3d models.

If I recall correctly, somewhere there was a thread about simulating DDR 2014 as accurately as possible and it might have had a better link for what you're looking for, but I haven't had any luck in finding it. Found it, it contains mirrors to the videos from the first link.
