DDR 2018 Wishlist

For the most part, I agree. There's the one doubles chart that uses them to make you do the actual dance in the music video that I forget the name of that's actually pretty cool. And Ishtar's okay.

But, yeah, mines are about 10x better.

Back to topic, what should happen in a 2018 release of DDR is they should gift you food everytime you AAA a song.

I stopped keeping up with DDR a while ago because somewhere between Extreme and 2013 it took a turn that... I don't know, it feels too... elitist nowadays instead of being the chill euro-trance-house game I once knew it as. Some things I'd like to see though:

-Get rid of the X-scale. Or re-scale everything so that our current 19s are the 20s and there aren't people demanding something that's likely going to be a gigantic clusterfuck.
-More diversity in the song list: I can't really remember most of the songs in A's songlist. In fact I only specifically remember HANDS UP IN THE AIR, DANCE ALL NIGHT, and ENDYMION. Everything else just kinda blends together for me.
-The return of generic videos would be nice, there's quite a handful from the MAX-MAX2 era that never got fleshed out (such as egg5/wheel3/text29/text30/puppet3). The dancing characters on stages isn't doing it for me. :/
-Singular "shock arrows". As I've expressed, I think they'd add a bit more to the game (and they don't have to be used for marking gimmicks).
-Perhaps a contest could be held to nominate some new (good) stepartists. There's local users on here that I think would do more justice to several songs than Konami's current roaster could.

Just my two cents.

ALSO I GUESS HERE'S MY WISHLIST, I DON'T LIKE DDR SO HERE'S HOW TO MAKE ME LIKE IT

-Add decimals to the rating scale, or at least pluses and minuses like in the grading system (Revolutionary Addict is a 16+, Pluto the First Expert is a 17+, Disappearance of Hatsune Miku is a 16- etc.)

-EX Scoring as the default. Money score is ass and means one miss absolutely kills your score. This should be based on accuracy, not full combos.

-More incentive to play Doubles. There isn't even a fucking Doubles division at KAC, what the fuck? What's even the point of this game mode if you don't give those players anything?

-Turn Goods into "not quite"s or whatever the fuck you want to call it, make them break combo and lose health. With there being no timing window to hurt you, people can just mash through songs. This is how FEFEMZ cleared your new 19, are we not seeing a problem?

-Make Shock Arrows individually placeable AND stop making them cause the entire stepchart to vanish for a moment. Also maybe make their timing window a bit less ABSOLUTE SHIT.

-Let people set score targets from 800k to a million in 5k increments. Would help people check the pace they're on a lot better than simply "my best".

-Bring it to the UK at a price which isn't complete lunacy. (The American equivalent to what Konami wants us Britlanders to pay for a DDRA machine is over 20,000 dollars, counting a year of eAmusement.) This one won't happen, but fuck it, y'all are being ridiculous with yours, so I will too.

Just want to apologize. Despite informing Al2k4 to delete all my posts, I don't simply want to put it under a rug. I honestly don't care what people think of me, but at the same time I hurt people's feelings or at LEAST made at least one person feel SOME kind of certain way that is most likely negative.

That doesn't mean I admit ANYBODY is right or wrong; just that I'm only apologizing for STARTING what I started.

As I have wished: carry on with the intended topic. I only wanted to get this out off the way.

And just to be clear: I'm not against fat people nor tdo I think fat people are incapable of playing the game the same way as anybody else. And just to be clearer: as long as we treat health as top priority, anyone with hopefully no serious medical ailments can equally play this game and most of the time, like in life, the only thing that COULD hold someone back is their mindset (definitely me included).

The blessing in this whole shit I started with added unnecessary shit other people have it because of insecurity issues is that I know who to put in the Hide User list.
