I tried to go with something a little more business-y.
Might try to polish these later

I like those graphics, they give the contest a more competitive feel.
I have implemented my proposed backup file selection into the contest, so backup files will be randomly selected via the new method.
I have also come up with a fair compromise on the No BEMANI rule. Every odd round would be a free round, and every even round would be No BEMANI. This would also people to submit BEMANI, but they wouldn't be able to rely on BEMANI for points. The backup pile would also be allowed to have BEMANI. What do you think?

That's a perfect compromise. I think it'll turn out well!

I'm all for that, except remove BEMANI from the backup pile.

Why is it that difficult for people to just pick songs that aren't from Bemani? lmao Step out of your comfort zone and try something different instead of turning yet another contest into the Same Old Shit.

I don't think that just because odd rounds are free weeks, the submissions will be flooded with Bemani. I take it that just because Bemani's allowed in half of the rounds doesn't mean it's recommended.
Since at least the first round's guaranteed to be free, I'll throw in a Bemani song cut (however it won't be the same as it appears in game, don't want people to rely on its jubeat/IIDX charts for the rhythm choices hahaha). If it turns out it nets way more $ than my other skeletons, then yep, there's a problem. "Yes" has more votes than "No" anyway. Maybe Rounds 3 and 7 can also be non-BEMANI, I don't know.
And remember, popular song choices won't help you if your charting skills aren't up to par.

That won't really be possible, since Bemani could end up getting in the backup anyway, through swaps, etc. Also, the main reason for creating the bemani rule in the first place was to prevent auctions from being unfair, but the backup pile has nothing to do with auctions.
However I could make it impossible to receive a Bemani cut from the backup pile during a No Bemani week. That should be fair.

We are now accepting skeleton submissions early! You can send them via PM to either me or hypnoticmarten77. BEMANI is allowed for this first week, so feel free to submit those. Submissions are due Monday Oct 9th 4:00 AM UTC. No submissions will be taken afterward. When we receive a valid skeleton from you, we will post your username in the Filemaker column on the Round A spreadsheet.

Are you sure this isn't a typo? Because if the auctioning phase begins on October 9th, this is gonna cause some frustration.

You cannot bid more $ than you currently have.
Does this apply to our total bid amount, or is it per file? Let's say that during the first round I bid $15 on one skeleton and $10 on another. That brings the total to $25, which is more than I have, but I'll only end up paying for one skeleton in the end. So is that allowed?Post #79 · Posted at 2017-10-02 03:59:51am 6.5 years ago
Good question. Yes that's allowed, and I will perhaps make it a bit clearer on the rule sheet.
UPDATE: Skeleton submissions are due in exactly one week! If you still would like to join the contest, send me or hypnoticmarten77 a simfile skeleton and you will be entered in.

I'm considering participating, depends on how ballsy my high school schedule becomes.
I'd also like to share my take on the graphics. And also have a little competition with the other two graphic sets like market brands
EDIT: Fixed typo in site name
