Okay no seriously, this is basically just a bunch of measures stepped of varying styles linked together: This is what happens when I get a song that actually proved monstrously difficult to step. :s

When I first listened to the songs, I really wanted to step Time Circuit but apparently it took until I bid $10 on it for it to show up under my name, and I noticed that (with the exception of Round B / Plastic Love) I consistently lost points in the auctioning phase, so I decided to go for a song that no one happened to have a bid on, and it ended up being this (and Z-I-v Summer Contest 2017 Medley, but I thought I couldn't do that song justice).

At this point, I honestly don't know how this is going to go. Throughout 2017 there are files I've enrolled that did shockingly poorly or drifted behind the pack (even ones that I was sure were my best) and then files I thought almost had no chance of swimming that do surprisingly well. There seems to be almost no pattern and sometimes I wonder if what I make is ACTUALLY good...

However, even if what I end up making is subpar, I upload it anyway because somewhere I know there's at least one person that'll have fun with it somewhere, and this has been proven with everything I've uploaded to this contest so far (and almost every other simfile I've ever made). Also, I was very disappointed with how much I skipped in the previous three contests, and most of it had to do with me not wanting to upload something unless I was certain it met supremely high standards that I subconsciously set for myself across pretty much everything. In reality, those high standards are ridiculous, especially for something that's only popular between about 20 people average and all it did was harm my emotional state.

So now, I pick up songs, step them to the best of my ability, and then upload so that the song submitter(s) can be happy (unless I vetoed... sorry paperpeach/tamtamino... >.<), and then also other people (in or outside of the contest) can enjoy the successfully-uploaded file: That's good enough for me. It could even be that my steps for the songs I choose can give ideas to their submitter(s) or anyone else, to help them for their own steps for the song (if they were having trouble with them) or inspire them to do the song more justice if they weren't happy with my steps. :P

Okay enough general rambling, this is the embodiment of what I did during Summer Contest 2016-Simfile Shuffle 2016. Roll/mine trickery, some speed changes, crisp and geometric patterns (similar to Chrome Lion) and getting harder as the song goes on. Once we get to the last 1/4th of the song, things start to take off a bit. Don't worry, it shouldn't be too difficulty spiky. All that said, thanks for the interesting challenge, Daffa212162. It's well outside my comfort zone but I think I made it work just enough.

+5 Immortal (absolutely perfect, legit deserves a +5 imo)
+3 tears of the dream (this was pretty nice, could've used a bit more in places, but you did a good job varying things over the course of the song)
+3 Time Circuits (I really liked this, too. Again, a few select measures felt understepped, like at the ending, but overall, a very cohesive chart)

HM VOLTEXES II (This song has so much potential that wasn't really tapped into, but I admit it's also kinda difficult to do; the charts do look enjoyable, but they'd be more enjoyable if they followed musical elements throughout the song more closely.)

well this round was kind of lackluster, really.

5 pts - Too Funky (ledgam3r1279) (I really love what you did with this. Playing this on pad feels satisfying and your chart is especially fun.)
3 pts - VOLTEXES II (Daffa212162) (much like what mf32892 said in his post, it did feel like it could've followed to the song more closely. Then again, this is a Sota song, so you did what you could with your pick.)
3 pts - tears of the dream (djVERTICAI)
2 pts - Time Circuits (paperpeach) (I honestly think you should cool it with the step-jumps that occur at b72. It feels wonky as hell, especially attempting to play this on pad and when you get to b76 (this occurs again at b248). Well that and it felt a bit disconnected to the tune (especially the guitar riffs that occur in the song). Otherwise, I do think this your best simfile you've done in this contest.)

HM: 남자답게 (Like A Man) (mf32892) - I feel that was really overstepped and it wasn't fun to play it with the patterns going on. I do enjoy the + charts, but it wasn't enough for me to consider it points.
