Hello,
On more than one occasion I've experienced extremely slow download speeds with ZIV in regards to simfile pack downloads. I have a gigabit connection at home but seem to be throttled to around 100 kb/s with this site specifically. Does ZIV throttle download speeds for hosting/resource reasons or is this an issue with my ISP?
This is the only site I experience these issues with.

I honestly don't think that ZIV can do that. But having 1 GB of DL speed is crap so you should think about upping that quite a bit with your ISP.

I'm also experiencing this, especially with the larger simfile packs. Could be the fact that it's a university ISP, but I definitely notice it with specifically this site.

That's not what a gigabit connection is. Gigabit internet is like the next level of broadband internet that usually uses fiber optic lines and provides speeds of 1000Mbps (1Gbps/gigabit). Seems fine here? It might be to do with the server being located in Europe though.

I'm guessing any issues might be a combination of your ISP and the server location. Here downloading stuff nets me roughly 1/3rd~1/4th my usual download speeds but that makes sense due to the fact that I'm in America and the site is hosted in the UK. It seems a bit strange that the OP has internet way better than mine and is only getting kb/s, which leads me to believe that there's some ISP weirdness going on. If you know of any other European sites with downloads of comparable size, perhaps see if you run into the same issues?
