If you wouldn't mind, could you rip the graphics from the Universe Series and update the backgrounds?
When I have the time I will do.

"Working On: 5thMix BGA bgchanges" |
If you have the time/wouldn't mind doing it, all of the banners/backgrounds would be great, dancervic could then add them all to his database and that'd cut out those games from his list to do. I'm going to try doing my games this weekend, if I can work out how to do it/get it running I'll let you know and we could 50/50 the workload then if you were keen.

After seeing that INSERTiON background and banner, it kind've makes me wonder what other unused graphics and features were cut in the Ultramix and Universe games. I know Universe 3 was originally gonna have a 2nd doc pack with covers and On The Jazz Smooth House and White Hot in the Universe mega pack, and The Tide was gonna appear again, and Drivin was originally gonna be in Ultramix 3 according to screenshots and the manual, but it makes me wonder what else was cut?

i very much remember seeing really dull, possibly placeholder graphic variants for What is Love? extracted from the UNIVERSE2 data in this website
APPEND: it was this
excuse the scaled down resolution, this was the way i found the graphic
but i'm not sure if it is actually in the game, i know it was in a thread with many other bgs from universe 1 and 2

I had a look and I couldn't find the unused background for What Is Love? In Dancing Stage UNIVERSE2. It must only be In the North American version of UNIVERSE2.
Also I couldn't find any unused graphics the ULTRAMIX/Unleashed games except for the banner and background for MAKE IT BETTER (So-REAL Mix) which strangely enough also appears as Unused data In both DDR UNIVERSE and DS UNIVERSE2.
Anyway here's the backgrounds from DS UNIVERSE2. (Right Click on the images and select "View Image" to expand them to their original size.)

another thing
a couple years back i downloaded a pack containing extracted graphics from ddr 3rdmix jp
and it seems there were leftovers from an early version of solo bassmix in there, which include these three banners
(i later verified if those really existed, and they do)
as i really liked the unused LOVE MACHINE banner, i decided to 256x80 it by cropping the borders and resizing it (a.k.a. method 1)

Honestly, I'm not really aware on some KONAMI BEMANI games like beatmania, pop'n music, jubeat, etc. I only go for their dance related simulation games like "Dance Dance Revolution", "Dance Maniax", "Para Para Paradise" & "DANCE RUSH" except for "Dance Evolution" which I disliked 'cos of less Famous Licensed songs content and lots of Konami original songs. But thank you for this info, this thread is also helping me to be aware for some Graphics variations that I missed. I'd add "Dance Evolution ARCADE" variations for "DDR 2ndMIX", "DS feat. Disney'sRAVE" and "DDR 4thMIX". I only focus on their Dance Simulation Games and I don't play those Konami's non-dance simulation games. That's the reason why I'm not aware and lack of knowledge regarding other Music simulation games ======

I understand your preference for Konami's Dance Simulation games over non-Dance Simulation games. You do you.
Anyways, I guess we're about to head into DDR Solo territory...?

Yes it is , here we go...Quote: dancervic
(1) Resizing to 80px and cropped/justify at the center.
- this principle applied to most revived KONAMI original songs in "DDR 7thMIX" from "DDR 4thMIX PLUS" and below. Including those "PARANOiA" series with transperancy before.
(2) Resizing to 256px or 80px and add additional pixels/graphics at the top and bottom or at the left and right respectively.
- this principle applied to some revived Konami Original songs in "DDR 7thMIX", most revived songs in "DS EuroMIX2" and "DDRMAX" (PS2 USA) from "DDR 4thMIX" and below.
(3) Forced resized to 256x80 (distorted).
- this principle applied to most revived Dancemania Licensed songs and even KONAMI original songs in "DDR EXTREME" from "DDR 4thMIX PLUS" and below. Including those with transparencies before for the songs from "DDR 1.0" to "DDR 2ndMIX" by replacing BG graphics from their transparencies after force resizing to 256x80.
