Have I mention how cool this game looks yet? Or the fact I'm super-excited we're getting a NA release for this?! XD

The footage shows that the dance kinda mimics the song's music video, which I LOVE. I'm super-hyped to play this one once I can have a chance to play it!

I don't think D&B is considering it (one of their upper level people said something along those lines at one point). I suspect the licensing isn't easy to do, and Round1 has all of their JP Bemani games proxied through Japan IIRC (which D&B might not have the resources to do).

(EDIT)For some reason I didn't realize what thread I was in, even though I just clicked on it. For DR, who really knows. It will depend on whether the game is actually getting a US release, or if Round1 is just getting the Japanese version.

DANCERUSH STARDOM was trademarked in the US last month, which could mean they are at least considering a dedicated US release.

Round1 says it's coming to their stores in the summer, which is after the March date given here. So that implies a separate US release.

I'm not sure what it is, why it's a reskinned Metal Gear Arcade machine or looks like how Betson would have probably butchered the game.

It's probably just one of those forgotten prototypes.

Also Betson doesn't make BEMANI cabs anymore.

That cabinet reminds me of one of those cheaply made bootleg DDR cabinets we had for a while.

You know, the ones that were called "DDR Megamix/Extreme Plus", or worse; one of those "Namco-made" cabinets that has a PS2 version of Extreme US on there and have no pressure on the arrows. XD

Feels less like a bootleg DDR, but more like if Betson decided to cut costs on DDR by removing the pad outright. After all, if the pad is the most expensive part, why not just cut it out all together? *taps forehead*

As someone stated previously this was most likely a forgotten prototype cabinet. It doesn't have the KONAMI or BEMANI logo anywhere at all, and has no buttons at all either. I find it funny how this cabinet has images of the real cabinet on it below the speakers.

Actually in all honesty I have no freaking idea what I'm looking at here.

The controls are in a separate box, so...

Oh yeah, I noticed there aren't any buttons on the machine itself, no eAmuse reader/keypad, and there isn't even a coin slot.

Maybe it's just a machine they used to advertise that Dancerush is coming soon? If that's the case, that's a really weird way of advertising the game; wouldn't a tapestry be a lot cheaper?
