Some questions:
- If most of a song is 210 but I use a short speed gimmick that in one difficulty results in two steps being at 140 right before the 2/3rds slowdown ends, does that disqualify the over 200 criteria?
- If a song's only vocals are choir samples that don't have any words, does that meet the first criteria or the second?

BPM: 174
ITG Scale: 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 9
X-Scale: 3 / 5 / 8 / 11 / 13 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A chill sounding drum and bass song I charted a few weeks ago that perfectly aligned with three of the "dishes". One of the easier charts I've written in recent times.
Be careful of some of the mines, those are meant to denote a forced doublestep and not a crossover.
Dishes:
1. Either the song title or the artist name contains the letter X. (Pixelsurfing has an X)
2. Your file must contain all difficulties, Beginner through Challenge.
3. Your file must be an instrumental, no voices of any kind allowed.

So what if you do both singles and doubles charts that are the same difficulty level but one has 5 jumps and the other has more?

I specifically say Singles chart on the criteria.Quote: rikame

Can I see the BPM map for this? I'm getting confused trying to visualise this. I'm siding with no because I said all of it has to be.Quote

If it's obviously a choir pad synth, the second one. If not, first one.Post #706 · Posted at 2017-06-29 06:46:51pm 6.8 years ago

As you're not actually stepping anything, I'll allow. But it's borderline.

Curtain call memories / DJ TOTTO & Qrispy Joybox
1/2 4/5 6/8 8/12 10/15

Got it.
- Either the song title or the artist name contains the letter X.
Qrispy Joybox
- Your hardest chart must contain more 8ths/12ths/16ths/etc than 4ths.
230 4th notes, 619 notes total.
- Your file must contain all difficulties, Beginner through Challenge.
That's basically all of my files, not much of a challenge for me.

[Simfile Buffet] - Marry me, Nightmare / t+pazolite
BPM 228-284
2 // 4 // 7 // 9 // 10
(X-SCALE: 2/6/10/14/16)
- Your file must contain all difficulties, Beginner through Challenge.
- Your song must be completely above 200 BPM, with no cheesing allowed.
- Your file must contain a slow down or speed up that is NOT 4x/2x/.5x/.25x the base BPM.
- The song must change time signature at least once. The time signature change must last at least 6.00 seconds.
*sprints to dessert table* *pushes everything into doggy bag* *flips table* *bolts out the front door*
...If nothing else, I've learned fairly quickly that I like mapping out BPMs of weird songs that aren't immediately obvious, so at least I'm having fun. By the way, t+pazolite very recently made a follow-up song to this called "Good Night, Bad Luck." for the latest version of Groove Coaster. You should check that one out, too!

Click the image to go to the simfile page. You can find alternate graphics and lyrics in the Comments section.
X scale: [S] 1 2 5 8 11 [D] 3 6 9
This song has been in the back burner for about a year. I have planned to submit this for [Show and Tell], then again for [Girls Week], but other stuffs happened and only now does this pop up.
This song was released in two languages: French and Hungarian. Both talked about the importance of finding your true self image, but the French version did that while listing like thirty different brands and proclaiming "I am not your product", while the Hungarian version talked about throwing hundreds of bottles of perfume and growing wings. So either one is interesting in its own way, I suppose.
Also I think that the French version flows a bit better, but it's subjective, really. The Hungarian version would have way more syncopation and be more "rough" in general.
Now, the dishes. Since I haven't eaten anything for the past 3 days, I went and took ten.
• La chanson est en français. (Translation: I don't really know French so I used Google Translate)
• I think is a 7.
• The song never goes above 80 BPM.
• There are 5 jumps in .
• There are 5 freezes in .
• All of decided to show up this time.
• Even the doubles joined the action, are here. It's my first time so I hope they're good!
• There's a gradual slowdown to 16 BPM at the end.
• Depending on how you count, either has 100 notes or has 400 notes. Probably the former tho.
• Out of 405 notes in , 164 (40.5%) are 4ths.
I hope you enjoy this simfile!

So maybe I'm a bit confused about the 4th note rule. Are we counting every note type combined is greater than the amount of 4th notes or individually each note is greater than 4th notes?
If the former, it can basically be a given for anything with notes outside of 8ths. If the latter, it makes more sense for it to be a challenge to make happen.
I guess the wording is a bit strange on that one.

Every other note type combined (that isn't 4th notes) must be greater than 4ths.
So essentially, more non-4ths than 4ths.

This week I decided to go with the number-1 song in America - and, at that, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Russia, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Uruguay and Venezuela - for my file~
☆.。*★Despacito―ヽ(o´∀`o)ノ―Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee★.。*☆
1 | 2 | 5 | 7 | 8
(Suggested X-scale ratings: 1 | 3 | 7 | 9 | 12)
I usually tend to GO CRAAAAZY at buffets with my entrees. However, at this simfile buffet, I've only picked five - but they're all good ones~ (○・ω・○)
- Your song must contain vocals, but the vocals cannot be in English, Japanese or Korean. (Spanish)
- Your song must be completely under 100 BPM, with no cheesing allowed. (89 BPM)
- Your file must contain all difficulties, Beginner through Challenge.
- At least one of your charts has a notecount including jumps that is EXACTLY a multiple of 100. ( has exactly 100)
- Your hardest chart must contain more 8ths/12ths/16ths/etc than 4ths.
With its music video having over 2 billion views on YouTube (making it the 5th-most-viewed video) and the song reigning at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for over 7 weeks and still counting, "Despacito" is, by far, the longest-running #1 foreign-language song on the Hot 100 and the first Spanish #1 hit song since the Macarena in 1996! o(*’▽’*)/☆゚Due to these stats, I was kinda shocked that there was no simfile available for it yet...Especially since it's a danceable reggaeton-pop song! So, I decided to take it upon myself to make it (。ゝω・´)
The version of the song used for the simfile is the original with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee only; I couldn't do the remix featuring Justin Bieber because it has vocals in English.

Ok but didn't the Macarena run at #1 for longer than 7 weeks? Pretty sure that's still the longest-running foreign-language song on the Hot 100.
Sorry for my regularly-scheduled Billboard comment. My simfile will be coming later today/tonight.

The article I read said Despacito is the longest-running foreign language #1 hit, but we don't know quite yet since it's still on the charts...

Fulfilled criteria:
- Your file must contain 5 freeze arrows or fewer on its hardest singles chart.
There are 3 freeze arrows at the Challenge chart.
- Your file must contain all difficulties, Beginner through Challenge.
Beginner to Challenge charts are here!
- Either the song title or the artist name contains the letter X.
tilt-six feat.串伊トモミ
- Your hardest chart must contain more 8ths/12ths/16ths/etc than 4ths.
About 35,8% (262 out of 731 steps including jumps) are 4ths.
