There was a mistake in the leaderboard. This figure sums it up:
Sorry for the confusion but I'm not sure what the mistake was, can you clarify? If the tie break was supposed to be by 5 votes we won 2-1 which would put us in 6th (6 points) which would make the last version of the chart correct and this one incorrect.
Since Mokou was also adjusted I assume this also wasn't a mistake in earlier calculations (my math has those correct anyway, 3 7ths and one 8th would be 15 pts before this round).
Also now that I have an excuse to:
1. Holy shit this is a great theme but for all the oooooh I'm doomeds I've given I'm actually doomed this time lmao
2. Being caught on the precipice of one bad week dropping me out is thrilling, thank you for the experience.

God damn it. Thanks for bringing my attention to this. Sorry for the mess -- again!
Okay so here's what happened. Before the contest starts, I used this tie-breaking formula:
5s × 0.025 + 4s × 0.016 + 3s × 0.009 + 2s × 0.004 + 1s × 0.001 + HMs × 0.00001
And it's terrible because two 4s will worth more than a 5. I didn't even know what went through my head when I typed that. Something about square numbers, probably.
This became a problem in Week 2 where 6th and 7th tied even in the tiebreak. I've changed it to this formula:
5s × 1e-3 + 4s × 1e-5 + 3s × 1e-7 + 2s × 1e-9 + 1s × 1e-11 + HMs × 1e-13
This way, it'll take 100 4s to be worth a 5, which is really unlikely to happen since there's not even 100 steppers in SC17. And I changed it for subsequent sheets as well.
Or at least I thought I did, but I didn't, and I only changed it up to Week 5. I did a dumb.
When I made the original post, I typed the points because apparently two people collaborating in a file kinda broke my sheets a bit, and I wanted to just find out the totals. I thought "I'll just fix the other stuffs later".
Fast forward to noon when I adjusted the sheets so that there's a formula for that, and the old tie-break formula swapped 6th and 7th around. I panicked a bit and adjusted the image to put in the "clarifying post" there.
Thinking that it's the final version, I deleted the old images. (I did a dumb)².
So now I have to redo the original picture, which took a while, and here it is again with the captions for hopefully the last time this week.
Week 6 Leaderboard: Double the points, double the fun (click for 1080p)
With 20 people getting points, things are shaking up. For five steppers, this week is the first week in which they got leaderboard points. Both rikame and Loodee just barely got into the top 15 with their first set of points, and mf32892 reclaimed his spot in the top 15 thanks to him and Gameoson reaching 4th place.
Also, two new steppers gained access to the VIP Room, congratulations to the DDRs! 11 spots remain, and exactly half of the participants have received leaderboard points. Will the remaining half get some love? We'll see in the coming weeks.

I want to say that I may not participate for this week. I had a song to step, but I had some personal issues right now so I can't step them. Sorry about that...

Well I got some remixes for this contest, but the problem is I don't know how to trim it into a smaller song. Can someone help me?

I was using this site to help me find remixes that are slower than the original song: http://songbpm.com
Be careful though, some BPMs are doubled.

Any song recommendations? I'd at least like to try to get leaderboard points but I can't think of anything that could qualify.

This SigSig remix: https://soundcloud.com/yamajet/sigsig-jump-attack-remixPost #636 · Posted at 2017-06-23 03:52:50am 6.8 years ago
Anyone know the BPM of this SigSig remix? : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32y74pOgy3Y
Might use it if it's slower than the original (178 BPM), and if the Jump+Attack remix gets taken.

http://www.all8.com/tools/bpm.htm
^ Very basic (but useful) tool for finding the BPM of a song.
It's 180 BPM by the way, not eligible unfortunately.

Uuhhhh, can anyone confirm that the original version of Godspeed by BT is in fact faster than the Brothers In Rhythm Remix?
Original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qFe8Kk0t3Q
Remix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-4_47RJOEY
The online BPM tool is giving me 139 BPM for the original, 138 BPM for the remix. A bit too close to call, so could anyone verify/debunk for me please?
