There have been multiple iterations of this theme... it was added at one point in its updates

Could anyone upload the 20181211 release to a mirror please ?
Mega.nz won't work for me (I have tried both my home wire connection, and my mobile data network, none can download at decent speed). I don't know why, the download rates start good but slowly decrease to shiet rates. Even if I'm being patient, the download will fail near the end Devil

Thank you very much Smile

EDIT: a kind fellow downloaded it for me and sent it to me by PM. Hurray ! Smile

I have uploaded it to a mirror site in case it could help others (mediafire, open to better suggestions if there are any): http://www.mediafire.com/file/tu3joblkw884v57/DDR_A_-_Mod_20181211.zip/file
ps. the original link is https://mega.nz/#F!Gm5UWYBR!c6xWbOixrbYQG453ps3Kwg

i'll ask you to please stop doing this, you're only making yourself more obnoxious to other people; won't be helping you any longer if you can't get the message, being nice as possible

Approximately nobody asked for this song to be included. Least popular decision by the Japanese since Nintendo released the Wii U.

he changed his region from either Argentina or Mexico, can't remember, but it was a Spanish-speaking country

"I want to change my username =("
He stated his name as being "Cristobal Apablaza Pino" in another thread. Native Spanish speaking detected.
Also, what's the point of stating your region to other than the one you reside at? Geez.

Sigh, hopefully this will draw attention to the theme (that doesn't seem to be updated in quite a while...)

I've noticed a problem, and I'm not sure if it's specifically this theme or not. After 100+ combos the arrow "flash" that appears when an arrow is hit vanishes and the arrow simply disappears. I don't think this is intended. Is there any way to fix this?

Edit: Looks like it might have just been the noteskin I was using, or how it interacts with this theme, at least. I've switched to Peter's versions and they have a combo flash, even if it isn't the one I'm as used to.

That's something to do with the fallback theme of SM5 especially BrightGhostComboThreshold. Go to your Themes folder, click the "_fallback" folder. Then, open metrics.ini and look for this element: BrightGhostComboThreshold. It's default setting is at 100. Change it to 100000 or more. I've set mine at 999999.

Oh, seems razorblade has already answered your question.

I did find something about that when researching the issue, but I couldn't find the correct entry. I didn't realise it was in the _fallback theme folder.

Many thanks to you both for the information.

Edit: With the help of some wonderful people online, I've been able to tweak the 20181211 version of this theme to suit my needs even better, including getting the DDR A song wheel up and down selection option to work (I couldn't work out how to with the previous instructions, sorry).

Edit 2: Removed old version and outdated instructions.

Please see this post for a link to version 1.1.

Yo thanks for explaining how this works! Tried it out like 2 weeks ago and got nowhere. Being able to move vertically is one of the reasons A's wheel is so efficient and I so wanna use it proper with my huge SM library.

I'm glad someone else finds value in it.

Note that I've since discovered that you can place 03 Gameplay.lua in this theme's scripts folder instead of _fallback to achieve the same input effects without it having to potentially be a global change. I might update my instructions to include that at some point.

I was dubious about A's design at first because I loved the old song wheel, but A's makes a lot more sense with this type of navigation. It's way faster in wheel sections with a lot of songs (100+).

Saaaame dude. I still think A looks kinda...eh, but it is no doubt the most effective execution of the song wheel we've had.

Hope one day y'all can figure out how to get all the objects to line up properly. It's already impressive how well emulated it is tho~!

I've tried asking this before, without any luck.
Guess it's worth it to give it another shot.

Looking at videos and stills from this thread, the theme version some of you guys are using doesn't have the banner shown in this picture.

https://image.ibb.co/jnoZiH/Sin_t_tulo_1.png

What can I do to get rid of it?
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps less important for most maybe, but I've got up and down selection working in Course mode, so you can scroll up and down there too.

I'll include it in an update when I have some time since I want to clean up the other version a bit anyway.

In the meantime, here's some quick and probably not very good Most Played Course Jackets I edited from the banner versions for use with themes like this, in case anyone else wants them.

Link removed; see my latest post with the currently most up to date version here.

For the Wyvern's A20 theme, based on A theme, I've edited some codes to make some graphics fit on screen, some of them were a little bit big.
Also I edited that "sort title" bar that you mention, but I didn't erased it, I only make it a little bit small, I think that bar looks good and it's a nice feature that the original AC doesn't show.

Updated version of my DDR A Music Wheel mod v1.2

Use this instead of the older versions. Wheel now seems to move correctly regardless of moving from song to section, or vice versa.

I don't know how theme dependant this is, but course mode doesn't have sections for me, so either ensure you have a number of courses divisible by 3, or deal with oddities when jumping up or down between the point where the course list begins or ends. Not sure if this is something I can resolve, sorry.

Enjoy.
