Encountered a bug that might be fixed on following iterations of the theme.

When manually returning to the menu from a song under the Challenge difficulty, only songs with this difficulty available are shown in the wheel afterwards.
Returning to the main menu or finishing a song on any difficulty doesn't seem to solve this.
There's an easy fix however. Just select any song on a different difficulty, and return to the menu again. Everything should be back to normal.

Silly question and I apologize in advance for this...

I have downloaded a bunch of Character videos and a newer version of this pack.

I had character videos playing perfectly in sync with gameplay before I deleted my old version of this theme and put in the new one. I can't seem to figure out how to make the videos play other then as random movies. I know they were somewhere else before and I had to do something to make them play correctly.

Help?

I have them as random movies, and by setting the number of random movies to 1, it emulates the arcade experience pretty accurately.

By the way, does anyone know how to order the folders other than the default method (alphabetically)? I would like to have them in the same order as the arcade cabinet without having to do numbers:

01. DDR A
02. DDR 2014
03. DDR 2013
...

So far this is the only way I've found to manage it.

I don't believe there's a way around that right now.

Actually, there's a way to do that with Preferred Sort.

The theme defaults to Group sorting, which shows all the folders in alphabetical order. Preferred sort is not available in the theme without editing the metrics. To enable it, go to the SortOrders line in [MusicWheel] and replace it with the following:

In the theme's folder, go to Other/SongManager PreferredSongs.txt, and copy/paste the following into the file:



This is how the format works:

---In-Game Folder Name
This is what you want the folder's name to be in-game.

Real Folder Name/Song Folder Name
This determines what songs you want in the folder. The part before the slash determines what folder to pull the simfile from, and the part after determines which simfile to place in this spot. An asterisk instead of a song folder name will load all songs from that folder in that spot. Make sure in the above the actual folder names match up with what's on your computer.

If you want to make a folder named Fun Songs with Break Free, DYNAMITE RAVE, CG Project, PARANOiA, and every song from MAX2, this is how it would look:

DDR A/Break Free
DDR 3rdMIX/DYNAMITE RAVE
DDR X2/CG Project
DDR 1stMIX/PARANOiA

I can't figure out how to get the change to apply when using the sort function, so the Version option still takes you to the Group sort.

It does not happen to them that roulette is very very super slow? Help

It is well known that this theme is very slow. The people who could work on it already know about that.

I don't think this is something related with this particular theme, but with stepmania in general.
Still, it's probably still worth asking.

Is there a way to have the next higher available difficulty appear on adyacent songs in the wheel?
Let's say you select "Still in My Heart", which has basic, normal, difficult and extreme difficulties. Right next to it, it's "Still in My Heart (MOMO MIX)" which only has a challenge chart.
Browsing the different difficulties in "Still in My Heart" means that the MOMO MIX is always going to be empty.
The arcade version fixes this by having the challenge rating and result visible since it's the next highest difficulty available.

It's quite a long shot, but is there a way to duplicate this?

It is totally possible.

I have 2 observations. I see that the Grades dont get updated after passing a song. Example I passed with AA but keeps showing song as a D. If i leave the enter key pressed after selecting a song I dont get the mod window to to select the speed of the arrows and all that stuff. Other than that I am super happy with this.

It is totally possible as in there is a way to do it, or it is totally possible as in someone will have to make the code?

Somebody will have to make the code to do it, but they could. Right now there isn't any code for that in this theme.

It will certainly be nice to see this feature added in future versions of the theme.

Are you able to figure out the fix for this? Strangely for me it works totally fine on 1 machine but not the other. I also have the same issue where the game crash no matter i pass/fail, regardless of failed mode.

It took a good amount of work by inori and/or madkaT to get the difficulty levels on there at all, so don't expect anything like that from trav anytime soon.

Is this project still active?

The theme is so badass that I would be happy to have it just the way it is.
Just throwing some suggestions around in case the creators are still working on future updates.

Is it possible to add all of the ITG mods (like drunk, dizzy, confusion, planted, twister, etc.) in a separate options menu?
