Considering how long the series has been out without a chance to turn off the announcer taking a piss on the audio track, even if everybody would wish for it, i doubt it will be there in the future any more than it was in the past. Not like i wouldn't wish for it too.
Also M-mods, iidx and sdvx already got those so you don't have to visit the menu every single song except if it's speed change song. But i think they like those failed credits because of ??? BPM and forgotting to change it for some songs.

There should be a warning sign when someone tries to activate two players when they only insert one credit. I hate seeing people think that just because your able to activate two buttons means that they are able to play two players.

Song wheel highlights the start of the folder and not the first song in the folder, so newbies don't mash green button. Also make it more clear that options and sort exist. Maybe a second warning screen that's just a few pointers on how to navigate the interface, like back when the game warned you about freeze arrows.

Some kind of indication that pressing Up+Down will close the current folder. I know about it from just experimenting on the 2014 Theme in SM then tried it on actual cab, but most people I play with who are leagues better than me don't know because it doesn't tell you anywhere.

A few new ideas...
-Option to switch between blank, black background, MAX-era BGAs (maybe some new ones too?), dancing characters, and dancing characters over MAX-era BGAs (like 1st through 5th MIX). If a video is played in the background of a stage, it would be played full-screen with BGA mode enabled, and as the background to a dancing character with MIX mode enabled. Dancing characters will always be disabled for BG videos that disable them.
-Building on AxelWasHere's idea for switching announcers, why not go further and add new announcers like the IIDX games? I'd love to have SUPER STAR -MITSURU- narrating my play! ...And the older announcers, as well.

I adore these two ideas! Pop'n Music 19 Tune Street actually did something similar to this, too - the announcers included Sana, B-Kun, and even Alt. Since IIDX did that as well, I think there is a strong possibility DDR could have "switchable" announcers in the future.
Also, bring back cut-ins, possibly disabled unless you log into e-amuse and enable it.
Having the option to turn off characters is fine. Almost as important as that, fix the camera on the stage with the yellow arrows that spin around and make the screen look like it's flashing... or get rid of that yellow thing. Like 23 seconds into this video.
Maybe spread the DDR A machines out so that there aren't three cabinets within an hour of each other and zero cabinets like 9 hours away from them...

Back when Bemanistyle was promoting the DDR A survey after it came out, I put in as a suggestion to toggle between translated or native song titles. That way, it would be convenient to identify it without having to go to RemyWiki for the translation.
2. Since I see a bunch of people at my D&B who haven't played DDR since Extreme, it would be nice if there was some sort of Jukebox mode where someone could go through the song selection screen for 60 seconds without playing and see what songs there were.
3. Switching to EX score as seen in the KAC and previous games is something I'd like to see return as an option, too.

Yeah, you could just zoom in with the camera a little bit so the arrows don't mess with the view.Post #28 · Posted at 2017-04-27 01:10:23am 6.9 years ago

UNPOPULAR OPINIONS INCOMING:
C-Mods. Please. I really don't like BPM gimmicks... especially for songs such as Poochie (my god the speedups are pretty stupid in that song)
Also a timing bar that shows how late or early you are in relation to hitting the note perfectly.

Well that's why we have Fast/Slow, but most of the people are thinking "why we have to pay for the Fast/Slow?". So you do bring up a nice idea

On any other occasion, I'd disagree with you. I personally think that BPM changes done right add personality to the song and define it.
However, it seems you and I have a common enemy...

Wait, do we actually have to insert more money to bring that feature up?

The only quality of life adjustment I'd want is prevent the bga camera from getting near that stupid yellow diamond thing. Doesn't happen often, but everyone whose played a few credits has had that yellow diamond spin right in front of the camera and thats really distracting when it does it for the entire length of that particular camera pan.

I always wanted a visual queue to upcoming speed changes or stops. Something like this icon that would be to the left or right of the arrow columns and could have variations on symbols to depict what is coming up.
Symbols could be "+" and "-" for slow downs/speed ups and perhaps a stopwatch or "-/-" to represent a stop.

Also something about halving the BPM (i.e. reading the notes in a different subdivision so I could play MAX 300 in half-time, same song speed, but the BPM would be 150 instead of 300, so all quarter note streams in that song would be eighth notes, and all eighths would be sixteenths).

I don't know if such a feature has been implemented yet, but how about social media integration with sites like Facebook and Twitter with DDR?
I'd like to see this happen since e-amuse seems rather backwards from what I see in other games today.
DJMAX Technika from what I have read had FB/Twitter integration in their games, and it worked fine (it even had programmed crew along with it, like a dedicated game network) so how come DDR has not caught up with other social media technologies?
(I do apologize for this being a noob question/suggestion, I've been out of the DDR scene since SN2 and just recently started playing X3 and will play Ace sometime in the near future)

There's actually an eamuse mobile app that lets you post screenshots of scores onto things like twitter. I think you press the 0 number on the keypad on the results screen and that takes the screeenshot. (Note: Last I've heard this app is only available for Japanese mobile phones... I'm unsure if it's available in the NA market yet.)I'd like to see this happen since e-amuse seems rather backwards from what I see in other games today.

While the e-Amusement app is not available here in North America, you can get the app through QooApp. Just note that the e-Amuse app will be all Japanese, but you will be able to connect using your Konami ID.Post #40 · Posted at 2017-05-21 12:28:19pm 6.8 years ago

The only thing that really stands out to me, is in the Japanese song titles, a little notation of it's transliteration would be nice, so if you know what a song's title begins with, it's easier for us to find. (Like "ka" next to the symbol for "ka," so people can find "KAKUMEI" for example.)
