I've been trying to find some of the older Beatmania IIDX soundtracks, and just about anything BEMANI that I can get my hands on. Of course, since I can't exactly access a Japanese iTunes account, or find any of the older CDs for that matter, that really limits my search. Anyone know where I can find some of these albums? I've currently found:
EDIT 9/18/17: I basically have all the main BEMANI game OSTs that I need. I'm currently looking for other albums. My current to-find list is on the second page of this thread.
I'm aware of the BEMANI albums on US iTunes store thread, and I keep an eye on there for anything that might interest me. If there's anywhere I can find what I'm looking for, please let me know here. Thanks in advance!

The issue with eBay is you're more likely to buy a bootleg album than an authentic album as video game music piracy was rampant in the early 2000s.

If you are purchasing from a person always ask for a picture of the spine that shows the record label and catalog number.

I learned that myself the hard way when I purchased a copy of 4thMIX. When I saw the cheap price and suspicious looking display image (hmm, that doesn't look like the Konami logo), I should've known it was too good to be true.
eBay is a joke when it comes to BEMANI soundtracks. Shame that it's the only place I personally know to look. Sometimes you get lucky, like with the Sampler CDs. Then again, nobody bootlegs those because nobody but losers like me gives a shit.

I'm pretty sure there's a buy/sell group on Facebook.

If it's physical copies that you want, you can use a forwarding service like Buyee or Tenso to order albums off of Amazon Japan and other sites. There are service fees, but I think it's worth it. I've used both before. You could also try looking on Rakuten. CDJapan has some soundtracks, too.

I know Khinsider has almost every DDR release, all Keyboardmania releases, some pop'n, a few jubeat and Reflec Beat releases and ParaParaParadise 1stMix.
However everything is in a MP3 format and PPP sounds like shit.

They're not physical copies (which I'm sure was the main intent of the thread, but I could be wrong), they're all in awful quality, they're poorly tagged, they don't support the company... What next, you want him to rip the audio straight from Youtube? :eyes:However everything is in a MP3 format and PPP sounds like shit.

Oh, yeah, and if you think buying early 2000's BEMANI soundtracks would support Konami - no matter WHERE you buy it from - you're delusional.

I Love It When People Single Out One Thing I Say To Attempt To Shut Down The Entire Post Because They Don't Actually Have A Counterargument
Also, bemani osts exist for more modern games too, ones that the company does profit off of, which they would be losing money on if everyone went and downloaded them for free. But I guess that's just not convenient enough for your argument.

Fair enough. Didn't want to start an argument, but yeah, I guess it went too far?

The only argument I have yet to respond to is "they're poorly tagged", because I personally don't know anyone who isn't you who cares about that. And notice how I said early 2000's, meaning NOT MODERN. Him grabbing stuff like DDR 3rd or some 5key OSTs off some pirating website is the best way to go, certainly more so than wasting time and money on an eBay hunt.

The patented "It's not what you were talking about but it's what I'm talking about and so that's what the argument's gonna be about".

I've currently found:
Beatmania IIDX:
20, 23, 24- Available on the US iTunes store and purchased.
Jubeeat:
Saucer, Prop, Qubell- Available on the US iTunes store, yet to purchase, but I'll purchase them myself.!
so it's pretty clear that he's not just in the market for older material but Whatever You Say, QuickmanBeatmania IIDX:
20, 23, 24- Available on the US iTunes store and purchased.

"Blank for now." |
So um, I'm just looking for anything I could get my hands on, modern and classic or otherwise...
i'm sorry i caused some sort of argument...
Honestly, I'm going to avoid physical copies since I imagine the only place to get them would be really, really sketchy sources. It's fine if the audio quality isn't perfect, as long as it isn't painfully noticeable.
And yes, I have tried hunting down audio files on YouTube. It's tedious and not guaranteed to bring good results, but it's worked for about 1/20th of what I have in my stash.
Thanks for the help, guys. I'm actually out of town right now so I can't download anything at the moment, but I'll see what I can find when I get back later this week.
