The step patterns on the bonus simfile are actually fun on pad, Very well synced. Keep making more files like that. Keep it up!

Wow!! I really appreciate your support, guys. I've learned a lot from Going My Way; my future simfiles will be a lot more like that one. I'm so happy you enjoyed my simfiles!
You're welcome <3

Going My Way's / Bonus chart is pretty bad.
There is a ton of double stepping. Also, you have the player face a certain direction most of the time (for the future, attempt to even out how the player is positioned). It's like you try to find the beat and just place an arrow wherever you want when you're making these simfiles without any thought of how a player is turning/stepping the arrows. Honestly doesn't feel like you are playtesting them.

Well, I do playtest my charts on my feet as if I had a pad several times...
I guess this just shows that I've just gotta analyze actual, good DDR charts a bit more and use them as inspirations when coming up with my simfile charts.

And to help you with that, here are some DDR charts that you should take inspiration from, because not all of them are good:I guess this just shows that I've just gotta analyze actual, good DDR charts a bit more and use them as inspirations when coming up with my simfile charts.
DDR A
- Straightforward/easy Patterns: 魔理沙は大変なものを盗んでいきました (Marisa wa taihen na mono wo nusunde ikimashita) (there's a weird ambiguous pattern at the very end though so watch out for that)
- Complex Patterns (Crossovers/180's/spins): Far East Nightbird kors k Remix -DDR Edit-
DDR 2014
- SP: Possession (EDP Live Mix)
- CP: 幻想系世界修復少女 (Gensoukei sekai shuufuku shoujo)
DDR 2013
- SP: Choo Choo TRAIN , つけまつける (Tsukematsukeru)
- CP: ちくわパフェだよ☆CKP (Chikuwa Parfit da yo CKP) , からふるぱすてる (Colorful Pastel)
I think that's enough lol
I recommend watching parodius8662 play some of these charts; use the search feature (he hasn't done Far East Nightbird so look for that somewhere else). You'll see that each foot is being used one after the other, every complex pattern eventually returns the player to facing the screen, and there's a good amount of rotation of the body. This is what you should strive for in your charts. There are instances where you can be creative with doublesteps but you should get the basics down first. You should also take a look at these charts on StepMania and playtest them so you can see if your feet and body end up doing the same thing as in the videos.
I hope this helps you even a little bit.
