G'day friends,
Been searching a bit on this, and can't seem to find information on the official distributor to inquire on: where to get, how much, and who manufactures the US version of DDR A. I've seen it when searching the 'Arcades' section of this site, and have also seen it in videos from peeps playing at Dave & Buster's, etc. Looks to be pretty much the same cab/stage as the JP DDR2013/2014 - and hoping it has not been touched by poor manufacturers like RawThrills.
Hoping someone can tell me the following:
Who manufactures the US one? - I know Betson did SuperNova 1 & 2, then passed the torch off to RawThrills who butchered it for US DDR X and X2.
How much does a shiny new DDR A arcade go for?
Who is the distributor, and most importantly, do they provide service in Canada (my home land, eh)?
If possible, please provide the same deets but for a JP version.
As always, thanks a bunch!

Thankfully, I can tell you they weren't made by Raw Thrills. They were made in Japan and shipped overseas.Quote: Doodlehead

I don't think they're up for sale as far as I know. Besides, you need an e-amuse connection.Quote: Doodlehead

I believe a D&B set to open in December near Oakville, Ontario will receive a cabinet. That's about all I know for now.

DDRA machines are likely not up for sale. They're only in the US because of a deal made with Dave & Busters and ROUND1.

Ah, interesting. Forgive my ignorance, but how does that work? Does it not just require an internet connection? Or are there specific guidelines to having an eAmusement connection?

Crud. I dislike exclusive deals... but better knowing than just left wondering.
Thank you.

Basically, yeah. Exclusive agreements are needed for having that eAmusement connection. The machine needs to know a number of things, including your area. And the connection needs to be set up such that the machine could receive updates online, and that scores can be transferred to the eAmuse network. This is probably an oversimplification, but these are just a few things.
I know how you feel though. I would personally love to buy a cabinet if it was possible.

Aslo, originally uses MDX:U:D:A:~ versions, but is changed online to MDX:U:E:A:~ due to detected failures.
