Rhythm Heaven Megamix
Quirky, silly and great.
It's kinda hard, but the minigames are quite
addiciting.
My favourite mingames is the LumBEARJack one, and the Hair Plucking game.

Sonic 3 (& Knuckles)
While Sonic 2 was the first game that I played, this was the first game that I absolutely couldn't get enough of. Sonic 3 alone was a great game, then later on they released Sonic & Knuckles which was essentially Sonic 3 part II. But the cartridge of Sonic and Knuckles allowed you to place Sonic 3 on top of it and play both games as one single mega-game. It allowed you to play all of the levels from both games in succession, as well as allowed the player to become Hyper Sonic rather than just Super Sonic if they collected all 14 emeralds (usually there are 7 per game). On top of that, this games music is some of my favorite in video game music, with a ton of inspiration from Michael Jackson. In fact he is strongly believed to have been involved in the creation of the games music though its unclear to what extent. I strongly debated whether or not to have this as my number 1.

DOOM II
As I said before, I think DOOM is quite possibly the best video game ever made. And I like the sequel game even better. The game adds the Super Shotgun, has all new maps, and doubles the catalog of monsters. I have great memories playing this game when I was 6 years old with my dad, and Ive remembered each and every level and song from the game as clear as day. It is my favorite game of all time.

This game is not only what an RPG should be, it's also what video games in general should be. Where do I even begin? Let's start off with the fact that this has an amazing Scooby-Doo-esque detective story that's full of legit surprises and relatable characters, the latter of which can be pretty hard to come by in general, let alone nowadays. Then you have the amazing music Shoji Meguro composed that's a mix of rock, funk, and pop all nicely spliced together in one unforgettable package. A social link system where you actually relate to the characters/NPCs who don't simply feel like a means to an end to just make your personas (personae?) more powerful. An improved version of the battle mechanics from Persona 3 where it doesn't feel completely like a grind, dungeons that have a ton of variety, and the fact that it's not too short or too long.
And this is all just in vanilla Persona 4! The version I'm referring to is the definitive Golden version on the Vita; you have all of these, plus an optional gardening system where you can grow healing items among other things, more areas to explore/things to do, a VERY expanded post-"final" boss endgame, extra endings, and even some nice little details here and there people might take for granted, such as the fact if you're in a romantic relationship with more than one character, the game will actually call you out, be forced to pick one, and suffer the consequences. . There's others I might have forgotten, but I don't want to make this a giant wall of text.
There is absolutely no way 5 is going to top this, and I honestly don't expect it to. I would easily put this in my top 3 games of all time list, and the way this game handled story and character development heavily inspired how I wrote the script for my comic . I can't emphasize enough how much I love this game, and why more people should play this if they get the chance, be it on the PS2 or the Vita.
