It's a shame that this game never got ported to PC, let alone the PS3/360 like it was originally developed for. The use of a traditional controller would've easily fixed the camera issues that this game had, because I'm sure a right analog stick would've easily eradicated the problem and would've got more praise than it did.

Outside of that, this game was Warren Spector's love letter to what makes Disney great, not just Mickey Mouse's early days; you see Oswald the Lucky Rabbit make his long-awaited return to Disney, the main hub world is literally Disneyland, complete with a hidden area that lets you see Walt Disney's apartment on the 2nd floor of the firehouse, a whole ton of characters that haven't been heard from in decades make a return as NPCs giving quests out, and there's even an area that's essentially a junkyard full of discarded memorabilia. Oh, and let's not forget the little 2D levels when you transition between worlds where they recreate all of Mickey's old cartoons.

If anyone has a Wii, I highly reccomend giving this game a try, and wishing there were a sequel.... and head-desking hard when you find out the sequel forced co-op all the time and essentially killed off the franchise, and wondering why that game got a PC port, but the original didn't.

Lumines

Such a simple game, yet such a wonderful experience. The gameplay is essentially modified tetris, but the game is mostly about the psychadelic experience of cycling through different "skins" which change the appearance and music of the game as you progress. The music and sound design is absolutely amazing in this game, with a strange quirkiness and hypnotism to it that I've never seen anywhere else.

Have you ever wanted to go on a cross country journey while doing something productive but didn't have the money to do so? Well this game is for you. Going around Europe delivering cargo is surprisingly fun, and the game is very pleasant to look at. Also, the modding community has done some very cool things with this game. Check it out if you haven't done so.

F-Zero GX

The greatest and fastest racing game ever, and also one of the hardest. This game has plenty to unlock and plenty of goals to work toward, which is why I love it. Getting all of the cups and racers takes a long time and is very challenging but worth the payoff. I want another F-Zero in the near future that's as good as this one.

Simple.
Fun.

Cool to make the levels as it is to play them (both your own creations and from others).
I was really skeptical about the game at first, but after picking it up and playing for a long time, I've grown to really like it.

Try it out.

This is easily one of the best FPS games I've ever played; a deep RPG-like system, a good story, tons of stuff to do (and it's never a dull moment), and really good dialogue!

(ngl, it's starting to get a bit tricky to name games that I haven't already listed at this point. ^^; )

Take everything the 1st 2 Roller Coaster Tycoon games did right and improve upon it as well add a fully 3D world that can be viewed from all angles.

DOOM

If you don't know about this game then shame on you. This was the game that made FPSs popular (FPS games were called "Doom clones" for a long time), and in my opinion its still the best (well, aside from its sequel). The game has a certain labyrinthian level design with emphasis on secret areas (and secret levels entirely) as well as non-linearity, two things which have sadly become lost in the majority of games today. The game also has extremely memorable and diverse monsters and weapons. Each monster and weapon is unique from one another and this diversity creates many different situations which have tremendous impact on the flow of the game. It's also very accessible when it comes to designing levels and making mods for the game, I've made many levels for it and there is still a thriving DOOM community today that works on the game, and shows no signs of dying out any time soon. I'd have no problem saying this is the best video game of all time, if not for only a few more personal favorites.

Also, the Cyberdemon is probably my favorite video game monster of all time.

Otherwise known as "The best SNES RPG not named Earthbound", I actually didn't beat this game until just a few months ago! I'm sure I don't need to go into detail why people are still loving this game to this day, but I will say there's stuff in this game that not even most modern RPGs are do... I can only think of the Mass Effect series being one, Persona 4 Golden being another, and that's about all I can really thing of. Oh, and Fable 2... Sort Of.

Specifically, the fact that your choices have an actual consequence, especially in the long term. I could bring up the many endings this game provides (not including the extra one from the DS/mobile ports), but instead, I will name the "Pre-Ending-Post-Game" part as an example, otherwise known as The Fated Hour: You have all these optional sidequests for each character, and a looming mothership of sorts that lingers above the overworld in most of the eras. Completing each of these side quests will alter (or in Lucca's case, get the chance to alter) time and make their present/past a bit more pleasant. Crono and the gang are essentially sucker punching the Butterfly Effect in the jaw like Mike Tyson, and ultimately will make the final fight with Lavos a bit easier.

Too bad we may never see a 3D remake of the game, because who knows how insane this game could've been if Square Enix weren't a bunch of tight-asses and allowed the fans to finish at least one of the fan remakes.

(whoops, missed a few days!)

#26 DOOM

It's just stupidly fun, and surprisingly fast-paced. I had heard from people before I ever played that it was fast, but I assumed that was just in comparison to games of its time.

No.

You run a mile a minute. You can outrun your own rockets. It's crazy, and everything in the game is so fine-tuned to just feel great (even the controls, though it takes a bit to adjust).

#27 Worms: Armageddon

I normally don't care for anything having to do with multiplayer, but this game is an exception. It's fun to get a lucky shot or find out about some crazy, useless weapon that still destroys half the map and sends your friends into a fit. The best local multiplayer game I've ever played.

#28 Lego Stunt Rally

This is the game that introduced the concept of a level editor to me. It boils it down to placing pre-made track parts on a small square map, but still. I spent countless hours beating the 'campaign' over and over and making racetracks that would (in my mind) outdo anything the game already had.

This game doesn't get enough love nowadays. Tons of levels and objectives, a surprisingly good variety of funny one-liners from Dana Gould (which apparently was only in the US version), And the game was pretty challenging at points.

I would really love to see a new game in the series someday, but just remember one thing: DO NOT PLAY THE N64 VERSION!!

Max Payne

A shooter with a crime-noir aesthetic. The music and setting of this game are completely amazing. You grow very much attached to Max Payne himself throughout the course of the game and genuinely feel for his need to find his wife and daughter's killer. Also has awesome gameplay, inventing the famous "bullet time" mechanic before it was overused. Has two great sequels, though the original is the best one. I have fond memories of playing this game with my dad in the year 2001 or so, so it ranks very high in my list.

Oh yeah, and just listen to this theme song:

This is not only the best game in the series, and one of the best games on the PS3, I would consider this one of the best games of all time. The story was amazing, the graphics (especially on the PS4 version) were very top notch while also having a wide variety of vivid color, it never once had a dull moment, lots of goodies/cheats to unlock, a very fun multiplayer game that I sunk a lot of hours on, and the list goes on, and on, into the depths of forever.

As for my number 1 game tomorrow, I've mentioned that my list was in no particular order, but I wanted to save this peculiar game for the occasion for a wide variety of reasons. The people who have kept track of my list with a keen eye will know what it is, because I've mentioned it a good number of times. ;)

The Last of Us

It's a predictable story (especially if you've heard of The Road), gameplay hugely reminiscent of Uncharted, but the presentation and themes (gosh that sounds pretentious) were so well done that it feels wholly new and unique. It's Naughty Dog's best game yet.

Mirror's Edge

I love platformers, especially those kinds that emphasize an ebb & flow to it. I didn't think First-Person would gel well though, and I never gave this game a chance until I saw Hardcore Henry.

Really the only thing this game has going for it is the platforming, but it's just so good that I would recommend it to anyone.
