Vids of the cool new tunes have landed!
They're some rather rough & tough stuff, with two - you read it, two - of them being a level 49 on EX! The other two are both a level 48, I believe....
What's especially exciting about them is the fact that not only are they challenging, but they also have pretty darn fitting characters - probably some of the most fitting characters for crossover songs since Sunny Park!
Roki as the character for the BeatStream crossover, "A Place Where Bugs Live", as opposed to BisCo like the eclale BeatStream crossovers gives me hope that maybe down the line we'll see Kimi to Watashi no Ongaku in there with Alt, obviously, as its character...

They probably would've done that in the days when Pop'n used to not just reuse existing characters for crossover songs.

Yeah, you figure they would have used an actual rocker from a Des-ROW song as a rival character. Like Kumai-san, D, or Gere-Gere. Hayato would've fit, too. Heck, I would've even taken DAMI-YAN.

No, just certain songs are not keysounded anymore (some licenses, HinaBitter, FLOOR INFECTION songs).

Well, "Nonuplet" could also imply that it's a 9 artist collab song maybe?
Also the Ex chart may as well be the hardest chart so far (those speed changes...)

PON is almost a certainty from the parts that sound like Mystic Moon; it also resembles the menu BGMs since Lapistoria which I'm pretty sure he did.
My guess is TAG was involved with this, cause I can see this as a successor to L-an!ma in terms of both sound design and chart. If I had to throw somebody else in I would guess Akhuta.
And 9 artists seems like a stretch, I think the record for most artists contributing to a single song is 6, and even that's a bit crowded (too many cooks, yknow?)
