Hello,
Sorry if this has been posted before, but I haven't been able to find any info on it. I'm trying to run two separate builds of SM5 (one for my DDR style simfiles running ultralight, and one for ITG style running Simply Love). However, they seem to be sharing preferences or something. For example, when I close out of Simply Love, and open Ultralight, My combo carries over, and it changes back to the default stepmania theme (since it can't find the Simple Love theme in that folder), and vice versa when I go from Ultralight to Simply Love. This means I have to
I basically copy/pasted my SM folder, changed the themes/noteskins/song folders available in each to have distinct builds, but I can't figure out how to point them to different directories to save this kind of data. I actually can't seem to locate where that data is right now (I tried looking for a folder in My Documents like the one ITGPC creates to save that data, and few other directories like C:/ProgramData or Documents folder under different C:/Users/ folders).
I might be going about this all wrong too. Anyone here know of a good way to run two distinct builds of SM5 each with their own preferences/themes/songs without each interfering with one another? Is this something I can change in the preferences.ini of each, or is there a better way to accomplish this?

Hello, to make stepmania run in portable mode, just create a file named portable.ini in the stepmania root folder. This will generate a save folder next time you run it, in that folder the config will be stored.

You are a genius, that's exactly what I needed. Much thanks.
