The sky is officially falling; NAOKI is going to be contributing music to PIU. Even if it's going to be crossovers from CrossBeats/REV (which is most likely the case), I'm pretty sure if you said "A Bemani musician is going to make music for Andamiro" 15, or even 10 years ago, people would be laughing at your face. 8I

I might have jumped the gun on Naoki being in the game, at least for now. However, I can't exactly think of any other “Japanese touch-based music games” besides CrossBeats, unless Andamiro went insane and collaborated with Konami.

On the other hand, if they're referring to the mobile version of Groove Coaster, they have good in-house talent as well, despite COSIO leaving Taito to be a freelance composer.

Might be NAOKI. Until they announce it officially, it could be an artist from Groove Coaster for all we know. I know we have Tatsh, but I saw reports that plans to have NAOKI fell through for Prime, so I'm not sure they managed to patch that up.

I don't think COSIO is working on CROSS BEATS? I think he's just a freelance composer. There's a collab between CROSS BEATS and GROOVE COASTER but that started after he left.

I've heard rumors, at least on the Groove Coaster International Network Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/groovecoaster/ ). I've been taking it with a grain of salt, since you're most likely right that it could've perhaps mentioned one of his songs from GC are on the collaboration, rather than something new/original for Capcom.


The posts from around April-early June have been a bit consistent that he left ZUNTATA (Taito's in-house music/sound producers for arcade games) recently; he's still making music, but as a freelancer, like Arrows mentioned.

Well, today the people of Andamiro confirmed some info about Prime 2. Some of them i already forgot, but the most important things are:

- New UI
- Rival system
- New cabinet
- ... and the most important thing, COLABORATIONS! with: ez2ac, NeonFM and o2jam (for now ...)

May I see a link of where this info is coming from? I'm not able to find it anywhere. 8I

Nice to see Andamiro finally using IC cards this time; I always forget to bring my USB stick to the arcade.

Same goes for crossover songs from ez2ac/02Jam/NeonFM as well. I'm totally calling we'll also see DJMAX songs too, but we'll see.

Lastly, the design of the LX is... well...



Not gonna sugarcoat it here, it looks ugly and has a smaller screen compared to the current cab model. I really hope it's not the final design. >>

Ohey, I found much better pictures of the LX cabinets from Bemanistyle's Facebook:





These look much better than the fugly rendering they've shown off in the trailer, and Andamiro seems to be taking a page from Konami's book of having white cabinets, though you can still have it in black.

I'm still confused about where the IC cards would go, but it's worth noting that despite not looking as flashy as the TX cabs, there's now 5 buttons below the screen compared to 3. Maybe this means you can now easily change genres/channels on the fly, and you no longer need to step on the pad to access Full Mode?

Liking what I see. Hopefully they'll make card readers for existing cabs.

Pretty sure Lunatic Sounds is ez2ac, name rings a bell which narrows down to djmax or ez2ac... it wouldn't have jumped out at me for o2jam or neon fm since I haven't played o2 in a decade and no neon fm experience. Don't they have songs already on Prime though?

Edit: Unless they make a good way to find a rival with a rank mode system rehaul (think class mode search in IIDX) I'm not really sure how most of these features are gonna get decent use since most rivals already play at the same arcade unless your at the top 1% in the world then you already know them or can compare scores with them. As a new Pump player, someone is gonna have to explain AV to me (does it default to a scroll speed like 300 or 350 like how all the old style DDR huddled into the 130 BPM range to base speeds off of) to figure out if the AV changes may effect play.

Prime 2 is coming out in December, and we can see a new image of the brand new cabinet design!
