Not the biggest fan of the speed changes in the Chronos remix but the song itself is a banger. I'm about to try the Oboro remix

EDIT: Oboro remix is pretty cool but the chart feels a little underwhelming. Not bad, just could have been a little more.

Rock Band 4 and Guitar Hero Live both bombed pretty hard so I can actually totally understand Konami being apprehensive about ever doing another DDR home version.

EDIT: Also, gonna reiterate that Chronos walk with you mix is a fucking banger

I'd love another home DDR version but I fully agree with this. DDR home versions would probably flop in 2018, only hardcore fans would buy them, that's if the song list is good and they don't pull some DDR 2010 shit on us.

Yeah I guess you guys are right unfortunately. I was personally stoked about a possible resurgence of RB/GH, but we saw how that panned out. But then again, I do see Rock Band 4 on twitch occasionally, and Clone Hero is looking like it's only growing bigger, so it's something.

Anyway, still, DDR is a rhythm game that's made a decent comeback. I mean, the last game here was X2, which I heard didn't do so well. Then, for three whole iterations, Konami seemed to focus on only Japan, so it almost seems like a miracle that they not only brought DDR back to America where it kinda died outside of hardcore fans, but they also gave us e-amusement for the first time as well as high quality cabs. That was a big risk that paid off.

For those of you who were here before Ace, did it seem like a pipe dream for Konami to bring back DDR to America? When I read the first posts of this thread, it kinda seems like the case lol.

With this whole 20th anniversary stuff + the Justin Bieber thing + the good pace of new content, I guess I've become cautiously optimistic. I know it's unlikely, but I do believe Konami has something up their sleeves this year.

I know for a fact that I was absolutely not expecting a new DDR mix in 2016, let alone one as full featured as Ace is. Or even one in a playable arcade cabinet that doesn't have a zillion issues. So i'm always going to be grateful for the fact that we did get it. There's some minor things that annoy me about it, but I can live without having access to a bunch of 2hu songs i wasn't going to play anyway.

I’m so happy that my town got Ace, I was starting to get sick of DDR just before they got Ace so it was a nice refresher. I got so bored of the X2 songlist and I had half of the records on that machine. The X2 was on it’s way out so that’s probably why they decided to get Ace here. Sadly, it’s in local mode though.

Whatever Konami/Bemani is doing for the 20th anniversary, it would be funny if they included a level 20 chart for a new or existing song.
